  • Well you lots have an awful lot to answer for, that blardy malt loaf jumped on my trolley and came home with me (along with a chocolate mouse and a lemon curd yoghurt)
    Only had soreen too.
I've often bought for mum, she likes the mini ones and I see they do a banana one now and toffee
Thank re chair info and camera . Canula insertion bit of trouble with me veins are hard to find.
Butter/jam with crumpets or cheese not peanut butter

Called at the GC for compost and noticed some big flowery cosmos on offer. Got some for mums garden and planted them out whilst dropping off shopping. Got some orange osteospurnum for me.
Was in asda and so many things missing in there, not even a single paracetamol.

    Time for a cuppa. Anyone?

    • Good afternoon, our rain didn't arrive yet
Decided to have a clear out of my grandsons toys as he has moved on to different hobbies.
I felt sad parting with them as its the end of another era of my life, he is my last grandchild.
Anyway, hopefully some other child will get to enjoy them.
Hubby spent the morning tidying out all the kitchen cupboards, so busy busy.
      Have a good afternoon all.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

          • Simple brew please CG…that would go down a treat! Thanks.

I have boxes of my children’s toys stored in the barn. I really should get them out and sort them .
I had planned for it to be a summer job, sitting at the patio table , going through them…but Ho hum….looks at this rate they’ll need to come into the lounge. Good job we have plenty of floor space!

We didn’t get the straw in the end today…the farmer hadn’t responded. Strange, cos he usually does within a few hours….maybe hen’s taken a few days off?

                • I,rang the skip hire company again yesterday, and tolled them get it moved,as it is hazardas waste siting on my front, and i do not wish to get into bother,is unsightly, and in my way,and want it gone ASP,and maybe see a solicitor about rental from them for keeping on my front,it seems it has once again fallen on deaf ears,i will have to try my local councilor,if i can get him on his phone,or seeing as he lives just round the corner,a letter through his door, all the reseptioist said was,i will tell her what you said, and kept saying sorry, want a laugh, shudder shudder, was looking for the rest of my shopping bags in the cupbord, to put in the washing machine, and realized some rags in a tall plastic kitchen bin ,on investigating i pulled them out,and something fell out,a very dead solid mouse,i left it there till my man came to remove it,a few weeks ago there was an awfull smell in there, could not find anything, son thought it was coming from under the floor, then thought no more about it,i hate the things,

Typing one handed with a mug of tea in the other, its my after dinner drink in my new China cup. MrPots says it to large to be a cup so he calls it a bucket instead
No Soreen I did have a mini chocolate log earlier this afternoon.

                    • Good evening.

Between the doctors and the chemists there has been a c*ck up with an item on the repeat prescription that I put in for Mr GF which, although not urgent, has involved what feels like forever listening to annoying ansaphone music on both the chemist's and doctors phones while I attempted to sort it out. Eventually, I think that I've got it sorted, I am nothing if not persistent. It is for the ampoule for the vitamin B12 injection that Mr GF needs next month. Fortunately, the district nurse forewarned me that, for some weird reason, there can be problems getting the prescription and that it doesn't automatically get sent to the chemist's.

Ooohhh Lottie, my worst nightmare. A dead mouse. Many years ago, while living in a crummy bedsit, I found one in an old handbag that I hadn't used for a long time. Instinctively I threw the bag out of the (attic) window, which was fortunately open at the time. To this day I have no idea if there was anything else in that handbag.

Bren, is a mini chocolate log the same as a mini roll? Or is it bigger and better? To go with your "bucket".

CG, I still have my children's toys but have given away the toys that were a gimmick, or a fad in the last few years.
My sons fort with soldiers, my daughters dolls and lots of lego still gone back up to the attic. Also a good selection of old ladybird books.

                          • Good morning.

My turn, it seems, for the sleepless night. There's no good reason for it at all. I even, unintentionally, woke Mr GF up and had a chat with him. He is now😴.

My wooden walking truck with wood blocks is still going strong and still being used. Now that would have fell apart as it would be all plastic.

We have a showery day ahead again. If there are dry spells I may sow seeds, otherwise I will have a house clean-suppose I should
Tea and coffee pots at the ready.

Just making a bread for baking later, better walk the dog soon before the rain gets us.
@Nicos don't think we ever had kerplunk. We have monopoly, cluedo, trivial pursuit here. I remember mastermind as a kid, frustration, battleships?
