When I bought mine I did think that it wasn't working for a minute or two. It just needed pumping a few times to get it primed.

it's a bit cooler today, and lots of cloud cover so far, much more pleasant both in and outdoors.

Snoop, that sounds dreadful for Mr Snoop. It's a long worrying wait till Monday for the scan. Don't want to add to your stress, but I trust he has been immunised against polio?

I was up early today to give the stairwell walls another coat of paint. Yesterday I was painting mid morning and it was just too hot, I had to shower again when I was done. That's two undercoats it's had, now it's ready for the top coat, so I'll need to go out and buy some!

I ordered the spray when I bought the air fryer. Handy for spraying wedges or a chicken, etc. The pourer was an extra bonus.

Oh Snoop, so sorry to hear Mr Snoop has had this sudden onset of what sounds horrendous. Has he had any nasty viruses recently? I hope you get a diagnosis soon and he can get rapid treatment. Will be thinking of you both x

X-rays show some spinal deformities, so there are possible physical reasons for some symptoms, but not all. I wondered about a virus, Flo. They can have lasting after effects. As for polio, he would have had the oral vaccination as a child. And I think we both had a booster about 30 odd years ago. But the symptoms are close, mothhawk. Thanks for thinking of that. Hope the thought didn't come from personal experience of yours.

On the positive side, we've realised what amazing neighbours we have. And we've both got good friends. I count all of you among them. So thanks again.

Good afternoon, sorry to hear about Mr. Snoop, I do hope its something a bit simple, I had something quite similar a good number of years ago and it was caused by a trapped nerve, after trying prescription pain killers I finished up going to a chiropractor, and oh what a difference he made, but please know I wish him well for Monday. OH is struggling with the sciatica today, we didn't even venture to our usual Thursday coffee morning , shecwas so sore, also someone was doing a bit of snoring through the night, there's some advantages being deaf, I never hear it, but similarly I never get the chance to find out who it is thats making all the noise, I sometimes get woken up with "listen to that snoring" but evidently culprit hears her and stops, however I will catch them sometime.
Thank goodness I never let OH see things on the Vine, if she saw GFs post about the oil spray it would have been " how come that lady can get a different colour than black? and while on about the spray I use it for olive oil, as I'm going off the other oils like sunflower and rapeseed though they are fine for rubbing down the wooden shafts of the garden tools, need to go as I need to go up to the chemists as I am being put on to some other pills for my blood pressure, so I wish you all a pleasant day and hope you find something to make you smile

Right, let's leave it at that. I did want to let you all know, as Mr Snoop is usually quite a feature in my posts. But I don't want to make a big deal of it, especially as there are plenty of people on here who have been or are now going through their own difficult times that are worse than mine.

That said, thanks for all the kind words and thoughts. Really appreciate them.

Evening all.

I had a close encounter today. Driving along a country lane I was forced to brake by a buzzard that launched itself across the car from the grassy verge. I hadn't seen it , it must have been head down and camouflaged by the tall grasses. Phew! Very near miss! Seeing a buzzard circling in the air, and seeing that six foot wingspan cross over the top of your bonnet are two very different things!
