Those smiles have been feeding on Jack's energy, Nicos. Missie has had enough of him, I've been playing with him for ages and he's still not giving up. Mr Snoop has just set off on a walk with him. With any luck, he'll conk out for a bit when they get back. Mr Snoop too probably. I might as well, thinking about it.

Sorry to hear about your leg, Rary. You've been in the wars recently. Admittedly some of them of your own making, I imagine your OH would say. Hope you make a speedy recovery. 'Twice the thickness' makes it sound very swollen.

Decent storm early this morning but no hail, thank goodness. It's clouding over again and there's more rain to come but it looks like we might have had the worst of it, so all good.

Good morning all.

Very late up here due to the fact that it was just too hot to sleep until around dawn. I have no idea if I had any dreams or nightmares.

It is bright sunshine here but not supposed to be quite as hot as yesterday.... only 29°C today. Mr GF looked at me with amazement when I handed him a thin shirt and a pair of shorts to put on this morning. Left to his own devices I think it would have been trousers and a fleece.

Jay, congratulations on your new grandchild. I hope that your new medication helps.

Rary, I hope the antibiotics kill the infection. Listen to your wife!!! Take it easy and keep cool with your feet up! I imagine that you are not the easiest of patients..... lack of patience?

CG, I hope that you avoided any bites. Horseflies are awful.

I am still hiding from the sun. The sun will be hitting my kitchen window shortly, just as I need to go in there. I was thinking about this while I was online and saw that someone was recommending stick on paper blinds from a certain big Swedish company. The feedback is good. At only £3 each I've got to give them a try. Two side by side will fit my kitchen perfectly.

Good afternoon, very warm here today, haven't been doing very much other than watering my plants, have slept most of the afternoon, not sure if its due to the heat which normally doesn't bother me or the high strength antibiotics, think its the antibiotics as I had a bit of a nightmare (do you get nightmares during the day?) dreamt that I was doing as OH told me thanks for the kind concerns, though its funny how most finish by telling me to do as OH tells me and GF I am the most patient of person you will find, have to be we have been marred almost 60 years, and of course I listen to my wife, she's evidently has better judgement than me right off to make the tea, so have a good evening whatever you are doing and keep passing on the smiles
