HI all,we had a wonderfull day,boy it was so hot,everyone had a great time,our choir sang to to them,CONGRATULATIONS song,a lot of dancing was had,by most peeps,it felt so nice to go out dressed up,this morning was church,the ministers last before he leaves us,so was a bit longer than norm,hoping for enough dryness tom afternoon,so we can put more bring and concrete in the skip,have had the iron pills for just over 3 weeks now,and are feeling so much better,apart from dying in the heat,still got the voice box bother,
Snoop it sounds like Jack is going to fit right in,Nicos i hope you cought up on your sleep,we had a heavy down pour comong out of church,it must have done some good in the garden,plus more in the water butts,night night

Good call with those rugs GF. We have them by our back door and they are amazing. I’d never have thought about next to the bed, but yes, why not? They are soft and come in all sorts of colours. I like your lateral thinking!

We woke up to proper rain this morning. It’s stopped now but it feels humid . The patio is already dry so I guess it’s not been enough to wet the soil properly for the plants.

How is Jack getting on Snoop?

Hopefully we won’t get more rain today- I ran out of energy yesterday for fruit picking, so I’m hoping the light wind will dry it enough for me to pick. Don’t want it rotting on the plants!

Sounds like you had a fantastic day, LD. And so glad to hear the iron pills are making a difference. Sounds like you're getting back to your usual lively self! Sorry to hear about your voice, though. Sounds like all that coughing a while back might have done some damage. Might it be worth seeing the doctor?

Hope you enjoyed the football match, Bramble. The last children's event I went to of a similar nature, everyone was standing round the pitch. Not sure I'd want to do that now, not without a shooting stick or fold-out chair!

Very bright here. Am supposed to be out scything. And if I don't go soon, it'll be another 'tomorrow's another day'... Low forties by the looks of it for today.

As for Jack, well he's getting very bored. We're playing with him a lot, but he's still not allowed out for walks yet. Next round of jabs 7 July. Hope these are the last. Apparently there's a lot of parvovirus about, including in the fox population. So we're being patient, but he could do with a bit of mental stimulation that comes with going beyond the cars and back... Poor lad.

Frankie came back at long last last night. Had something to eat and a two minute fuss with me. And then he was off. But at least he came back. So that's a start. Unfortunately, Jack is so bored he's trying to play a bit rough with Missie, and she's not enjoying that. So she's keeping out of the way as well. The sooner we can take Jack out and give him something else to think about, the better.

Not much other news. The usual pile of work to get through. Plus sort out my tax declaration... Not my favourite job. But I'll be glad when it's done.

Good smorning all, bright and breezy but just 13 degs

Nicos, yes our grandson had a great morning and his team won which was the icing on the cake...score was 3-2
They all lined up for their little trophy, a certificate and a goody bag.
It's good for him to be part of a team, learning to share winning and loosing.

And Snoop, yes, we all stood around and had a heavy shower while we were there.

Lottie, sounds like you had a lovely day at the wedding.

Glad Frankie came back Snoop, I am sure the dogs and cats will learn to get along just fine indie course.

We are going visiting Joan in the nursing home this afternoon.

Morning all.

Bright out already but am about to go out and do some scything. Due to get even hotter today, but supposedly it'll be a bit cooler tonight. Phew!

Not much on the cards today. Scything, but not much as for some reason one of my ankles is feeling a bit dodgy, then probably a lie-down to recover! And then work. And guess who didn't get her tax declaration sorted...? Better do that as well.

Missed you yesterday, Bren In Pots. Hope everything's OK.

Rubbish night’s sleep so a late start.
Sunny but windy here, so very pleasant.
I’m hoping to get more gardening done today but I do need to go to the vets at some point to pick up more meds for Hibou…Amd arrange her next ultrasound of her heart. Feeling extremely happy to be saying that tbh…against all odds, she’s still with us!

Mind you…you did post that over 2 hrs ago, so I guess it was cooler then.

I didn't get very far with the scything. Missie put paid to the idea by wanting to see what was rustling in the undergrowth. Scythes and cats don't go. But yes, out early.

I don't recall an incident, but that seems the most likely explanation.

Snoop, MrPots has passed on his Flu bug I spent most of yesterday asleep hopefully I’ll be more awake today.
We’ve had rain lately so the garden will be fine until I’m up and about.

Good to hear Frankie is back even if it was only briefly. Take care with your ankle.

Bramble it’s good your grandson taken up a sport like you say they do get a lot out of it.
