A little overcast but that's ok for what I'm on with in the garden, weeding and changing things around ..
Also want to have a go at some clematis cuttings.

Need to hunt out the binoculars, i'm sure I saw the spotted flycatcher yesterday. Always nice childhood memories as we had one nest every yr in the garden.
Have also seen the goldfinches , lovely colours.

As for the youngsters, by far the majority of people I see out are 50+.
Too easy to just say "the youngsters". Lets blame them, it makes it easy.

I don't think anyone is blaming as such. The point I was trying to make was that perhaps it takes different methods for the message to really hit home with different age groups. A bit like Churches, the traditional v's the more modern. Different people relate to different styles.

Where I live there are still groups of youths hanging about and there are still young kids playing out on bikes etc so I commented on what the bigger problem was as I saw it. The youths just are not relating and they need to be reached via other messages than just save the NHS.

I accept it may well be a different picture elsewhere.

Friend of ours has to see his sister with dementia as she has bad episodes of sun downing.

Yeah they were one of the ones I checked out, along with Bakery Bits. The Shipton Mill flours look really interesting, maybe when things settle down I might try some.

I do think the attitude has to change towards people. They are not stupid and seem to get treated as if everyone is.

Ha! Ha! Ha! There's lots of total idiots out there and they are stupid. But hey their opinion is as good as anyone else's!

Thank you CG - my back is hurting a bit after standing at my potting table and sowing umpteen seeds today! Leeks (giant ones from the seed circle), cauliflower, kailaan, all types of cukes - I think 7 types in the end, onion (from seed circle), spring onion (from seed circle), lettuce mix for picking leaves (I made my own mix out of red-leaved, mesclun, rocket, curly leaf salad and lambs lettuce), fennel... I'm sure there was more. Tried to go shopping, but it was closed, tried to pick up an order from B&Q but it was closed... best try again tomorrow lol

Just ventured to the GH 0.3 last night . Due frost tonight but nothing delicate in there yet anyway.
Bitter wind , hopefully when the sun appears it will warm things a bit.
Probably more pricking out /potting on today.

It was a lovely day here yesterday, I had fun sowing some more salad veg and some hardy annuals in pots so I can plant them out for an early show.

About 5-ish out of nowhere a gale sprang up and we had to grab our washing in and rush inside. It was very strange, from calm and sunny to cold and swirling gusts in about two minutes.

Thereafter we could see people out for their daily walk hurrying past the house in a rush, as they were dressed, not unreasonably, for a nice day.

A bonus of the lockdown, I’m losing weight. Very little booze, I don’t often have takeaway, but it’s not unknown, so home cooked food and I’ve run out of pizzas. Time to work in the garden instead of running other people around. No chocolate.

I've been working my way through all the Doctor Who episodes on Iplayer.

I'm just about finished those and after numerous regenerations I have started watching on youtube the earliest versions which were shown in B&W .

He wasn't such a good guy in those early episodes, in fact he was a bit of a ****!
