  • Looks nice Mark

OH has decided to cook our jacket potatoes on the firepit.
We have a small cast iron ‘oven’ I bought him for Xmas - so he wants to play with it! It was hard to manoeuvre inside the wood burner so the fire pit should be much easier.

            • Mr GF has not really been fancying most foods lately. .... other than soup....preferably tomato but with potato and leek as a second choice.

This morning I told him he had to rack his brains and think of anything that he fancied for tonight. He's having leek and potato soup for lunch. Eventually after much thought he has come up with bacon, egg, sausage and a bit of tomato. I am hoping he really enjoys this, and at least it's got some protein. I've taken sausages out of the freezer and when I go out shortly I'll look for some nice bacon, preferably smoked and dry cured. I can't abide the awful stuff that pumps out lots of water as it cooks.

                          • Rather than freezing the rest of yesterday’s veggie moussaka/ lasagna we’ve decided to have it tomorrow.
Served with broccoli and a side salad of our own rocket.
Baked Black cherries and yog for pud.

                            • So last night we had asparagus risotto. A bit of a last minute decision, made when I spotted the asparagus standing very tall and looking very delicious.
Really yummy. Probably less than five minutes from plant to pot.

Picked enough for an asparagus and calçot quiche or pizza tonight. I'll let Mr Snoop decide.
