Hi - I'm feeling flush, so I thought I might invest in an onion hoe. But which one? Does anyone here have a preference among the many that are available?

I don't tend to hoe much, but the only hoe I've ever got on with is a swoe. Mine is Wilkinson Sword and about 40 years old - they may have modified it since then (and if so it may not be as good). As it is open on one side you can turn it and use the narrow part as a hoe in tight spaces, ideal between closely spaced crops.A life is like a garden. Perfect moments can be had, but not preserved, except in memory. LLAP. - Leonard Nimoy

I have a Wolf push pull hoe which I've had years.Nestled somewhere in the Cambridgeshire Fens. Good soil, strong winds and 4 Giant Puffballs!

oh dear. Rather than cutting down my choices, the Dewit catalogue (in particular) has presented me with a huge array. This will take a bit more time to decide that I'd thought...
Sneeboer presents me with the message that I often hand out without thinking too deeply - "buy the best that you can afford, because buy cheap, buy twice"...
