Ha!...actually, writing in a new thread feels a bit like jumping around in fresh snow...first fresh footprints etc....

...or does that come across as a bit daft?

OK...go fetch the straight jacket...I could do with some 'quiet me time'

It does feel very light and fluffy - as if a weight has been lifted and we can all move on to newer and dafter things - well, I can
A quick weather update - the rain has stopped and the sun is trying. Life in the VC garden is returning to normal!

                Good morning,

No outside play for me today. Need to catch up on house work and washing. Just having a little break before I get the next pile of washing for the washer. I wish I had a maid who can do all that stuff while I spend more time at the plot.

Anyway will finish my brew and catch up on here before starting again. Have a good day

Your gain is my loss VC, now persistently precipitating, procrastinating possible plan.

Nasty attack of the 5 Ps there, GL
Which makes me wonder how long a sentence one could make if every word started with the same letter - and made sense

Too late for good morning so g’day instead. As thread #14 is closed I can’t reply with quotes so:

To FF, it’s my youngests birthday today too. He’s taken his girlfriend to a posh hotel in London. They asked him what smell he wanted on his pillows.

I haven’t bought my poppy yet as I usually lose several. I will need one for the parade tomorrow so will venture out in a minute and buy one. I keep meaning to get a permanent brooch but always forget until the next year.

Both my grandpa’s were in WWI and both survived. My paternal grandpa was out in Aden and died in his 50’s of some disease he picked up out there, some form of hepatitis. My maternal grandpa was sent to Salisbury Plain to train as a cavalry soldier but they sent him up in a plane as an observer in the RFC. Twin great uncles both died at the Somme.

I’m being lazy. I’ve been up since 6am but apart from 2x cuppas and some breakfast all i’ve done is catch up with the soaps. Time to get dressed and do something useful.

"It is neccessary to have wished for death in order to know how good it is to live" (also Alexandre Dumas)

Got a bit lost amongst the threads there! I'm polishing in the bedroom, can you tell? I've decided to rest between bouts of housework, or my days off work are of no benefit. Great family history there Janie, you must be very proud. Youngest Golden Girl coming to be spoiled, I mean stay, tonight. I have got another 3 years-worth of GYO cluttering my room, must get rid. Hope you're all enjoying yourselves today
