  • Sorry it's the boring parakeets! Big group of long-tailed tits gone by time got lens fitted.

    Spotted a wren, "card full"!

      • Gee thanks!

Hendrix fan but not parakeets. Sounds like grey squirrel debacle over again. Have heard the dreaded squawk when on city breaks in Europe so we're not alone!

        • A couple of Christmas visitors, neither particularly welcome but more so than the rats after my spuds. I'll be putting Logunner's recipe to the test tonight:

and a pheasant that was rather annoyed at the sparseness of the plot and flew off with squawk after being cornered.

                  • Earthworms! These may not seem very exotic, but we’ve got NZ flatworms on our site, and these are the first earthworms I’ve seen in my soil in seven years on the plot.

                      • A visiting hare

It was weighing up the flower garden. Now on the grass verge just outside our house.

Cool! They're magical. We had one on our lawn a couple of years ago. I notified the sighting to the hare preservation trust. They like to keep tabs.
