        I love this idea !!

I wonder if I'll be allowed a greenhouse out of the proceeds from the the house sale ?
.......because you're thinking of putting the kettle on and making a pot of tea perhaps, you old weirdo. (Veggie Chicken - 25/01/18)

I've got roots that need harvesting, does that count?!

Seed sowing is a distant happy memory for me right now!

I'm working on a 2nd tier of organisation - for each day of the week - but I'll spare you that until its become more than a completely scatty idea whirling around in an empty space above my neck

So... what about plants where you eat more'n one bit? Or edible flowers? When do you sow them?

Please send your answers on a post card to the usual address.

Funny you should ask that, ham, as I'm struggling with a turnipy thing that produces edible shoots called "broccoletti". I can't decide whether its a root or a leaf thing.
I only have a couple of days to make up my mind (if its a root) but if its a leaf I have a few weeks. Of course, if its a shoot................
At least, its not a fruit

                        Hi VC,
I am intrigued by your planning method and need to point out a significant problem with your approach.
If you work on true botanical classification you have missed out a planning week for the STEMS ie potatoes, celery, rhubarb, kohl rabi, chard, asparagus etc.
You must remember that onions are really a leaf in botanical terms as are leeks.
Calabrese, cauliflower, marrows and squashes, cucumbers are flowers and vegetable fruits and you haven't a week for these.
Finally, what about the seeds - sweet corn, mushrooms, beans and peas?
Other than these issues I think the system has merit!!!!

^^^ There's always one who comes along to confuse me

Would it work if I related it to the parts that are eaten-ish?
                          Potatoes and kohlrabi are roots;
Rhubarb, asparagus, celery, spinach, chard, onions & leeks are shoots (stems)
Sweetcorn, peas, beans, squashes are "fruits"
Cabbages caulis broccoli are "leaves". I know cauli is a flower but in my head its a green, which is a leaf.

                          Flowers are on Friday

Ah, I'd forgotten the "eatenish" classification. If you are using that one then it will work especially if you allow Friday's for the flowers.
