The Seed Sowing Thread - 2016

  • Sowed half a dozen Tasty King cukes for g/h use for myself and some family, also half a dozen broad bean ( express) in modules in greenhouse, first time trying these, trying to test out some different stuff before my allotment turns up .

    Chillis planted around the 9th of january are now looking good with two proper leaves and will need going into 3 inch pots pretty soon, their looking tidy

      • Went into the PT and found my cucumbers all over broken and destroyed in the wind, so have planted a few more. All Female type
        I grow 70% for us and 30% for the snails, then the neighbours eats them

                I have sown some tomatillo, some green calabrese broccoli and some organic rocket which i hope to save seed from.

                • I've done some Cucumber "Socrates" (did these on Sunday and they are out already) and some more broad beans "the Sutton" that I've sown in bog roll in the greenhouse.

                    • Finally started! Sowed tomatoes, melons, physalis, basil, peppermint and mignonette. Hurrah!
