Yes, I'm impressed!. If it wasn't for your looney, oops Lunar prompting I wouldn't have sown them - so many thanks! Still don't know which system to follow though!

Follow the system that makes most sense to you! Carve your own path. I just supply the info but it's for you to find YOUR way and decide if it is for you.

              Not so looney now huh

I think I'll run with Biodynamic because I can say that and its sounds the way I'd like to be. So maybe, a few tomatoes tomorrow - along with the rest of the Vine!

so for the simple lunar system, I can't sow my early tomatoes until the 31st.
                    is that right?

Thelma, if you mean Synodic, that is indeed the 31st December - not long though. You could do what I am doing and sow two seeds of the same variety, two tomorrow and two on 31st!

Best of both worlds, I feel! Call it an experiment. Makes me feel all technical or is it neck tickle?!

Definitely the latter, specially if you've had a drink or 3

Well thanks for this thread. Fascinating. When I was at Uni (long time ago) a PhD guy was working on lamb growth and I remember that in one trial the only thing that affected growth rate (statistically) was the moon. In the week it was full, they grew more regardless of what other treatment he applied. (Also talk to any teacher about the way children's behaviour changes with a week of clear skies and full moon.)

So synodic for me as much as possible.

Can I post this web site up which I tracked down from last year's thread:-

PS. I just don't have enough time to say hello to everyone as they join so please take this as a delighted to see you here!
