    • this is my third year of growing by the moon (i use michel gros book ; in tune with the moon) you can get them from amazon! this is a diary and planner and is great, the results are much better year on year, but remember the ground you grow everything in has to be in good heart to produce good results, but i would reccommend this system to everybody, other than the price of the book( £9) this is just gardening as before but using the moons influence to help.

          • So - should you also do the potting on / putting out on the "type" day? I can just about manage the sowing, but didn't think about other activities!

                          • Carrots, three varieties in my raised bed of growbags and sand mix on top of our own compost. Parsnips x 2 varieties in 9' lines. Turnips x 2 varieties in 9' lines. Sowed a pot of leek musselborough and spring onion ishykura or something like that. Just wished I had got the rest of my potatoes in - oh well, next weekend. Anyone else see the fabulous red full moon tonight?! Good weather forecast for rest of the week. Am I the only one sowing/planting? Where are you all?

                              • Planted out a tray of beetroot yesterday, and sowed another tray. No other roots as I don't seem to grow that many - don't really like carrots, and parsnips take up too much space!

Flowering - ho hum... I've done most I think - though for some reason I can't seem to get Comfrey to germinate! Any suggestions?
