The slug traps are made with a recipe I saw in a video (I forgot to write down which one). The principle is the same as for beer traps - slugs are attracted by the smell of yeast.

1/2 jam jar warm water
1 tbsp flour
heaped teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon dried yeast
Mix together and leave to sit for 10 minutes to activate the yeast. Pour into shallow pots and put in strategic places. Slugs are supposed to be attracted from distances of about 1m.

I made 6 traps from this amount and I will report back in my allotment thread at the beginning of April.
