Slight change of plan because 2 large trugs of hedge debris were taking up space in the garage and I had some other things that needed to go to the tip. Years ago I planted some white shasta daisies near the weigela bush and they had completely taken over, surrounding the bush and heading for the apple tree. I'd intended to remove them over winter, but the ground was far too wet. I decided yesterday was a good time, and spent all day digging them out. There are still a few left, but I had filled all my available trugs with roots so I took all the rubbish to the tip.

I need to cut back the nettles again in the front & top up my nettle fertiliser bottles,I only use the leaves & stems,not the seeds,just incase they grow everywhere(?) there’s no nettles in the back garden at the moment. Also need to prune the buddleia tops,there was a few flowers still there the other day. I wonder if there’s a later flowering buddleia because my nettles look like somethings nesting in the leaf,maybe a black red admiral caterpillar

I think a lot of plants are flowering and fruiting early this year due to the drought.
