  • More Sweetcorn, which I boiled for 4 minutes, put on a plate, got a block of butter and rolled my sweetcorn all over it. No, I am not ashamed !!
Also picked some apples, but they weren't nearly so much fun.
Nestled somewhere in the Cambridgeshire Fens. Good soil, strong winds and 4 Giant Puffballs! https://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gr...lies/smile.gif

Good portion of purple french beans
          Beetroot (boltardy)
Runner beans (some a bit on the long and fat side)
Good 2/3 punnets worth of cherry tomatoes, one roma tomato.

            • Loads of tomatoes
              Autumn raspberries
              French beans

Two overflowing buckets full of dry beans for shelling

A load of tenderstem broccoli. It's done really well this year. I've had 4 kg so far from just 9 plants. They've been cropping non-stop since the end of May, and are still going strong now.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

                  • My first cucumber of the year! Strangely, it was one of the outdoor ones and the 6 in the greenhouse haven’t produced a fruit between them all summer. Wonder why??

                          • Runner beans! They have been rubbish this year with all the heat and a massive blackfly infestation, but they've perked up in the last month or so and are giving me some lovely tender young beans now.
