      • Just been out in the garden and picked my first peas and beans.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

              • A few more Blueberries,
the slow start of the Raspberries
                First Courgette

We were visted by sister and BIL yesterday, they have been keeping very secure and we met at the allotment. I was itching to properly dig a hulm of the Pentland Javlin second earlies (no first earlies planted.
They came out really nice, decent size, colour and complexion. They cocked courgette and spuds for thier dinner and pronounced them very tasty.
What did astonish me was despite continued watering and rains last week, the ground was far drier that I would have liked.
We've just had a shower of rain and another due in about 40 Mins if the satalight images are anything to go by. If that doesn't materialise we will be up there as soon as I knock off at 5.00 watering cans in hand.
