The rose is perfumed but I can't smell much on any of the lilies at the moment - and I know they're a mix of Asiatic and Oriental.

My first thought on seeing it was Asiatic as I always think they spread out falter than Orientals, no matter what type it is its a good looking flower
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

I have Awakening (the double form of New Dawn rose) flowering on the garden arch - which I've just noticed is beginning to fall down. Oops, added to the list of jobs to do...

My flower of the day is a white rambling rose I had as a cutting. As said above the roses have been fabulous this year and is slowly covering its frame.
Though it’s nearly gone over now this was taken today ....

Can I join in? My flower for today, herbaceous Potentilla. Tough little thing that will grow almost anywhere.

Out of interest, Acanthus leaves are often used in Art and Architecture.

Today it’s a Hosta flower. Don’t know which cultivar the flowers all look much the same. Grown in pots and I have kept the slugs off!!!!!
