Greenhouse temperature is 49 - so spend a few minute in there and then outside 30 degrees seems comfortable for a while.
Being English I always thought a nice cup of tea solved all issues.
Seriously - plenty of fluids - not too alcoholic - keep in the shade if possible or wear a hat.
Make the most of it, soon you will have something else to complain about."...Very dark, is the other side, very dark."
"Shut up, Yoda. Just eat your toast."

a dogs life
My poor dog, being a retriever he has a thick coat which must be like wearing a double duvet. Have to walk him early in the morning and keep him in doors on the stone floor. At least he is mostly sleeping all day and not bouncing around like a nut case.

I don't mind this weather, I grew up abroad in a hot climate so reminds me of being a kid again which is nice
My only thing is sleeping with the windows open, I just have this odd fear of someone putting a ladder up and climbing through my window. No idea why, but it means I sleep lightly as I need to be on guard or something.

I worry less about people and more about the blinkin' neighbourhood cats that come in the house when we leave the windows open.Originally posted by chris View PostI don't mind this weather, I grew up abroad in a hot climate so reminds me of being a kid again which is nice

Drives me nuts, we can't leave our bedroom window open more than a couple of inches without the little b*ggers coming in and waking us up with a fright in the middle of the night.

Chris how about one of those window security grills that would give you a good nights sleep, my problem is when the windows open it does make it noisier so that takes a bit of getting used to.Originally posted by chris View Post

We did a car boot sale yesterday (30C in the shade). It was a tad warm for my liking!
When we got back my OH painted a shelf outside- again in the shade and it was drying on the brush whilst he applied it

We can only have ours open a couple of inches too, or one of our own cats will find her way into the bedroom!Originally posted by vikkib View Postwe can't leave our bedroom window open more than a couple of inches without the little b*ggers coming in and waking us up with a fright in the middle of the night.
