The fella on the plot next to me giving me a mahoosive pile of rhubarb in exchange for a squah plant and a jar of jam.....he was telling me how his Lady godiva squash seeds had rotted.......guess what I had in my box ready for planting out (thanks to a generous grape )

Was bought as - Echinopsis eyriesii - but it would have pure white flowers if it was, so I think it is a hybrid of E multiplex but as it flower profusely all summer I keep it. Doesn't get watered at all from end of September until begining of April, and kept in unheated greenhouse over winter, being bone dry it is hardy to at least -5C
As you can see in the background I do have a few offsets, the size of the flowering plant can be judges by the fact it is in a small washing up bowl, about 9" diameter, having a shallow root system it doesn't need a standard depth pot. And it's six years from a small offset, so fast-ish growing.

Thanks very much for the info at the moment Mrs BB's most prolific is a Rebutia (Pipes of Peace) ..





But I am fascinated by the flowers on this ....





Both in 50mm pots & both brought at the RHS show in Cardiff last month.

A lot of aeroplanes in the sky this evening, which my 3 year old kept excitedly pointing out to me.. Agreeing with her and just to pass comment, I said, " Yes , there are a lot, aren't there. I wonder where they are all coming from?"

Without missing a beat, she answers in a thoughtful tone " The airport I suppose..."
I just couldn't keep a straight face.....
