What's more, I have tried on several occasions to 'join in' [yes, it hurts], and can't abide the sound of the games with all that buzzing going on. You can't hear the commentary [I usually listen to 5 Live whilst driving round but have had to stop for the duration as they have every single match on live - groan].

Hopefully it will pick up next week & now that South Africa are more or less out, the vuvuzalers will stop.........fingers crossed. News on radio this morning is they have been banned from Wimbledon & rightly so.

Hmmmm, whilst I would agree they are a bit noisy, if England hosted the World Cup again I wonder how we would feel if South Africa complained we were singing and chanting too loudly? Just a thought.

Have missed a couple of matches but from what I've seen, Germany seem the team to beat. Hoping the French get whacked today so I can laugh at my friends, although not too loudly until after Friday.
Got home last night and have made an arrangement with several of my Algerian colleagues, the winner of the match has to phone the loser to commiserate. I'm just hoping I dont have a big phone bill.

The V's can be a bit annoying - but who would deny the S.Americans their drum bands, the W.Indies their oildrum bands and I'm sure there must be other national musical notes imprinted by other countries.

Lol! You're likening a horrendously loud droning NOISE to band music? Or even a drum being banged - have you seen the articles warning people that the loudness of the things can cause hearing damage? Telling people to wear ear plugs? Get real, the things are horrible.

Oh and of course the noise coming in on the tv/radio commo is already 'doctored' to make it more acceptable...

Well now it's getting interesting..........If Mexico & Uruguay draw their last game, France go home. I know a lot of grapes don't care either way but do you think they should play for a draw or should they go out to win....I say....Play for the draw!!!!!!!! and send the french packing.
