Good news about Himself, Flo.

Dull here and drizzle is forecast. Not imminent, though, I reckon.

Just had a good long walk with Jack down a valley I haven't been down in ages. There's a good stream flowing along the floor and even the path is an inch or so deep in water, deeper in places. Very muddy and my boots got absolutely sodden as we had to cross the stream twice.Turns out Jack is a water wuss... But we both enjoyed the walk. Fabulous poppies in some of the fields.

Plenty to fill the rest of the day, so better get a move on.

Good morning all, its brightening up after a dull start.
We had rain overnight which was badly needed.
No plans for the day so it will be a bit of pottering in the garden.

Good afternoon. How as it got round to afternoon already? I didn't sleep well last night and was wide awake early this morning. I would have gone to the carboot sale at 6am but it had been cancelled due to the weather, wind and rain.

I won £30 on the lottery last night. Yippee!!

I'm waiting now for an Amazon delivery that is due this afternoon.

Morning all, after a night of rain it’s dry but dull.

My Amazon delivery arrived. It is just a very cheap USB adaptor. Yesterday, I found a few very old USB sticks which I suspected might have photos on them. The adaptor works. I can now view them on my phone. There are some photos from 2010. A party that I'd forgotten about, that we had at the allotment in high Summer. I've even printed some of them off now. and emailed copies to some of the people who attended the party. There's even a photo of Mr GF rowing me down the river at Knaresborough.

Good morning all,what a lovely find GF,popped the heating on for a bit,brrrr,the sun looks like it might try and grin,all i was hoping to get done in the garden is behind thus far,always seems to be some bit of life gets in the way,either that or i have slowed down ,not something i like to think about,any how catch up later,i have left some cups of what ever you want along with some cake,help yourselves,

Afternoon all.

It's raining! Very pleased. Looks like we could get a decent amount too over the next week or so. No need to water the olive trees. Will try and get more fruit trees in this weekend while there's a bit of a lull and they can get well watered in by rain next week. Not sure whether the strimming man will be able to come, though. Fingers crossed.

Lovely find, GF. I keep thinking about buying one of those devices that grabs photos off old computers. Assuming I can get the computers to start, of course...

Time for me to think about lunch here and then an afternoon of settling down to paid work.

It's very grey and chilly here. It's hard to believe that we were sat outside in the sunshine last weekend. There's no rain forecast for today, but no sunshine either.

........Later. I've just taken a trip to Aldi. For some weird reason it was really busy but I got the few bits that I wanted. It's the only supermarket nearby that's got Trout fillets and baby cucumbers in stock at the moment. A couple of bottles of wine and some ripe feeling brie also jumped into my trolley.

When I went out it was really chilly. I realised that the heater was set to COLD and my toes were frozen. While I was shopping the sun made a brief appearance but it's disappeared again now.

Snoop Puss, what gizmo is it that you've seen. I know that I've got some photos on old computers too that I'd like to retrieve. I'm also hoping that they'll power up🤞 I was thinking of, hopefully, copying them all onto a USB stick, which will be portable and that I'll be able to plug into the TV, etc. Or my phone with the USB adaptor.
