Morning all.

Coffee here for anyone as fancies a cup, though I hope mums are being treated in real life and aren't lifting a finger this morning.

Great visit yesterday from the JCB man. Some doubt as to whether we might have rock near the surface in some parts of the terrace, but it's very large so we'll go ahead and see. Now to find someone selling the variety of olive tree I want (Frantoio).

Also good news on the weather. The next deluge has been cancelled by the look of it. Fingers crossed things stay that way.

Better get on with the day. Still working on the kids' exhibition, but it makes a fun change to the usual nonsense!

We have had rain sun and snow today!! Yes snow, just one shower but enough.
Went for my shingles vaccination earlier the nurse was telling me that they’ve discovered that this new vaccine Shingrix gives you 17-20% protection from dementia. Amazing what they are doing just now.

Evening, it’s been raining here since around 11-ish so no gardening today just a bit of seed sowing in my GH.

I’ve had my first go at needle felting, it’s slow going so I doubt it will turn into a new hobby but it was a much appreciated Christmas prezzie.

I've brewed up
Bit grey here but it's dry, more rain later though
I'd like to get some pricking out done and seeds sown, could do with cleaning my gh windows a bit too as I can hardly see out of them. My sweet peas need to go back in there but I need to reorganise it first.
Will tackle domestics when it's raining

I'll have a cuppa with you, CG. Feels chilly this morning but no frost.

I dug the ground along my new fence yesterday. I don't generally dig, but after having 3 large men plus various cutting/digging gear (they had to remove 3 concrete posts) on my clay soil it had compacted into hardpan and where new post holes were dug, I could have made pots with the yellow clay. I added such compost as was ready from the dalek, and will get a couple of bags of composted FYM to top it off. Then I can replant the clematis I removed, and plan what else to grow up the fence.

A dull start to the day but due to improve. The next deluge is back on again for next week. I'll start making some garden progress today. If I leave it any later, I'll not be ready.

Sounds like you did a lot of hard work yesterday, MH. Your clematis will love you for all the compost. Never an easy task emptying a dalek. I'm not looking forward to having a go at mine. I might lob a bokashi bin in there for it to act as an accelerator and just leave it for a few more weeks... What I could do with is another compost bin. Will have a search on here, see what people say about those tumble compost bins.

Otherwise, paid work and a small amount of domestics.
