Afternoon n’alln’all

We had a really busy time helping our friends.
I came back exhausted…probably overdid it tbh…but we got it all done in time but it was a real rush…keys dropped off and car dropped off at the garage.
Got home and slept for almost 4 hours
Didn’t even hear outperform sit on mower being delivered… nor OH mowing the lawns for the first time this year.

It’s been sunny all day- hitting 19C and apart from a quick baked beans on toast on the patio ( Yey!!!!) I’ve missed most of it.
Fortunately tomorrow is supposed to be the same so you’ll know where to find me
I’ll try and send some up your way folks…but we did have frosts this morning.

That's some day ..and sleep Nicos. Perhaps a restful day on the patio tomorrow ?

It’s just dropping cooler here Flo, it’s been a good to dry laundry and catch up with gardening.

Good evening all, A sunny afternoon spent in the garden.
All my daffodils and polyanthus are flowering so a bit of colour in the garden.
I bought an arch to train up my sweetpeas so spent a bit of time assembling it and attaching wire to the frame.
Nicos, that sounds like an exhausting day, bet the nap did you good.
GF, glad to hear Mr GF is being well looked after by the doctors.
CG, Grimsby, that's a great word, I must remember to use it, it describes the weather we had for the last several weeks.

Yet again. I was awake at 2am after a couple of hours of sleep.

I've done a few duolingo lessons. I honestly don't know how much I'm learning. I know that it hasn't "clicked" yet. Having said that, at school, German never did.

I think that I might go grab a glass of milk and some chocolate orange bar. 🤫

It seems as if yesterday's sunshine was a one off. We're back to rain again today.

Another grismal day on the cards here, so although I should go for a grory hop I'm not. I shall faff about instead.
I made OH some pea and ham soup which sent my mind back to that advert for stock cubes. Remember it?
Infact I remember lots of older ones Smash was always a favourite. 😄

Lovely to have a bbq Nicos, we haven't had one yet. Maybe this weekend if it doesn't rain. Cough splutter.

Whoever is hogging the sun, please share as my wellies have developed a hole.

Good morning again.

I did eventually get a couple more hours sleep, CG and did not give into the milk and chocolate orange. I've just woke up again now and was surprised to discover that it wS only 7.30 as it is light. No blue in the sky however. Definitely grismal, but not raining yet.

I loved the Smash advert too, and the lager advert With Germans and the sunloungers, to the tune of the Dambusters march. The only modern advert I really loved was the one where Sue Barker shot the very annoying fat male opera singer, with the twirly moustache, with a crossbow. I was most upset to see him alive and well in another ad a few weeks later.

I've a grory hop due between 11am and noon. I'm sure a few goodies will have sneaked in.

Grory hop today after that it depends on the weather one site says rain in the next hour another says not till 2pm

I've got daffs, snow drops and primulas here Bramble and don't they make a difference to the garden.

It must be feeling warmer here this morning as when I went to make coffee at around 7.30 am I forgot to turn the thermostat up. Although it does not feel particularly cold, it is definitely on the chilly side for having a shower, and no warm towel afterwards! Modern life has spoilt me! Heating is now on and I'm waiting for it to warm the bathroom and towel rail up.

Morning all.

Bright blue again, but perishing cold early on. Another hard frost. Stuck indoors, sadly. Grismal weather starting here at the weekend, which is a shame, as we've got friends visiting. Doubtless we'll have a good time, though, whatever the weather.

Had a nice time at lunch yesterday. It might become my new favourite restaurant (my previous favourite has closed as the people running it moved on).

Glad your gardens are starting to look nice. Mine looks disastrous. Jack and the Sunday morning building works aren't helping. But I've started to spot wild flowers around the place, so that's nice.

Good morning all, it's dull and there is rain on the way,
Plenty to do indoors but I would rather be out in the garden.
OH left the conservatory door open this morning and a robin flew in.
.We had a lot of bother getting him out as he kept flying into the glass.
I threw him a trail in crumbs towards the door and he eventually flew out.
Enough drama for the morning, enjoy your day all.

Not much mojo here Not sure why I'm so lethargic, other than blaming grey skynessitis.
Need to give myself a shake.

Anyway I think I shall do some gladioli this year.

Mornin n’alln’all

Not as nice weatherwise today. Full cloud and cooler gusts of wind. Certainly a wrap up day, but I’m determined to make the most of the last few days of a drying wind on the preparation of both the patio and front door boarders at least.

I also have a pile of bags of books and various useful things given us by the people leaving yesterday, so I will need to find new homes in hour house now…so much for me clearing out our things…

Enjoy your day peeps…I need to get out into the garden as I can see a dark rain cloud in the distance….which isn’t forecast, but I hope it passes us by.
