  • Nice bike ride!…gentle and steady but managed a 40 minute round trip. Much easier than it sounds as I have an electric bike!
Thankfully it only drizzled for about 5 mins….

OH is now going to dig up some of the hundreds of molehills we have this year ready for sowings.

Burnie - my daughter and her husband were sponsored by Fjallraven when they first set up their business. They got loads of free goodies so long as lots of photos of them wearing them appeared regularly online.
The quality is amazing…they just don’t seem to want to wear out. Certainly worth their price. A big thumbs up to Fjallraven ( and nope- they aren’t sponsored by them anymore)

And now we are home…the sun has started to shine

Bren- do you have a piccie of your old windsock?…I’m sure you shared on a long time ago as I have an image in my head.
I do really fancy having one but not something bright orange. I did spot some fun ones like a flying pig and sheep
Nicos here’s a link to our old windsock.

            • Hi all, went to DR to get an appointment, explained why i did not want to see the previous males again, she said one off them no longer workes there, they will not give me an appointment, but have still ring 8am,and just say,the one i do not want to see,the NHS seems to waste time with these no good changes,it must also be frustraiting to those who work in it,yet when you do get to see a GP,there is very few people waiting, plus not everyone can cope with them,i find it hard to get a grip with, moan over,

When I used to climb Munroe mountains and roll about in the snow trying to take wildlife pictures, decent clothing could be the difference between hypothermia and going home in your own car rather than an ambulance. I'm a tad too old to climb these days, so I am waiting for the ski lifts to let use "foot passengers" back on so I can at least still roll around in the snow bit lol.
A foot note I am banned from using the clothes steam iron when re- waxing my kit, seemingly it trashes them, I now use a hair dryer instead, works even better.

                • I’ve ironed through wax paper previously when rewaxing…the hairdryer is an absolutely brill idea Burnie…much easier to get into the tricky bits for sure!.

                  • Not used wax paper, I use the bar of wax from Fjallraven (it looks like a bar of soap), warm the garment with the hair drier, that wipe on the wax, then back with the hair drier to met the wax into the fabric.

                    • Yeh…first the wax, then ironing through the waxed paper …but the hairdryer sounds much easier…Thanks for the tip!

                      • Morning all.

Drizzle all day and night today apparently, with an interlude of a storm this afternoon, but it's holding off at the moment. Not for long by the look of the clouds, mind.

Just as well I've got plenty to keep me occupied indoors today, though a quick run to the wood pile would be sensible.

                        Have a great day, everyone.

Nicos the pole fixings came from MrPot's scrap pole, mostly plastic piping but it seems to work fine.
Have a look at this zoomed in photo for a general idea wht you need.

Thanks Bren…very helpful. I did wonder if there was something more substantial inside the plastic piping. That looks very do-able!

We have fine drizzle here too.
We’ve decided to go and swim again today. It’s taking up a lot of time we’d otherwise be getting on with pottering in the house and garden…but this has to be doing us both good especially as the gardening aspect isn’t really do- able at the moment

Have a great day peeps…see you later!

According to the forecast it should be snowing here, in fact it should have been snowing for most of the night, and should continue into this afternoon. It is just cold and rainy ... so far.
