  • Morning all.

Brief drop-in before I go and pick up our helper. Marvellous man. I'll call him J on here, as it looks like he's going to become a weekend regular.

Loads of work for me to get through again. Won't meet this deadline, but I don't think anyone will be surprised.

Have a great day, everyone. Have fun with the decorating, Nicos.

    • Good morning.

It's early, not long after 6am, but I've had a good few hours of decent sleep. My bed is lovely and warm and cosy and I'm still trying to decide if it's too early for coffee.

I got waylaid there by googling Jan Van Haasteran. Are his puzzles enjoyable to do, Flo?

............. It's gone 7am now. Heating is on, and I'm sitting up in bed wearing a big hoodie, with a mug of coffee. Bliss!

It's 3°C outdoors and looks wet and miserable. The sky is slowly trying to lighten up.

............. 8.30. I drank my coffee and promptly fell back to sleep

      Time to get moving now.

      Enjoy your day everyone.

        • Morning

Its looking like being a dry day here a big change from the last few days of rain.

GF I've done a few Jan Van Haasteren puzzles they're full of funny details so are interesting to do.

          • Morning all.

Looks like I'm near the front in the bacon queue. I can smell it sizzling. 🥓. Can I have mine in a butty please, Flo?

It was frosty earlier but now clouds are gathering, though the met says it will be sunny most of the day. Hmmm. Perhaps the clouds will blow away.

            • Good morning all, bright and sunny but just 4 degs.
Sorry but our bacon has all been eaten so none left to offer around.
Nothing different on the cards today, just our regular going to the church snd grandson coming for lunch.
              Have a good day all,

              • Mornin n’alln’all

Very late start for me…we’re only just having breakfast! Sourdough crumpets with local honey and croissants.

Hibou didn’t wake us up this morning which is unusual. We’ve noticed she’s been off her food a bit recently and lost a bit of weight so we’re keeping a closer eye on her. ( She could of course be hunting more …)
We have a cardiologist appointment for her in a week for her ultrasound checkup, so will ask the vet to have a good look at her at the same time.
Shes outside in the long grass hunting as I speak, which is hopefully a good sign!

About to start on the decorations…

Enjoy your day peeps and remember to share those lovely smiles…

                  • Today?…oh darn…I’d forgotten we should have had porridge for breakfast!
                    Oh well.
                    Do you celebrate it Jay?

Hope you had a lovely time away…did you have Sner?
Its hard to believe whilst looking out at the sunshine today that this time last year we’d been cut off from electricity and internet for almost 4 days due to a snow blizzard taking out tree branches onto the power cables.

                    • My son and I have at last managed to thin out the Apple tree. We've taken quite a lot of overhanging branches, so it will be interesting to see how it fruits next year. Shattered now!

                      • We had a lovely time thank you Nicos! Unfortunately no snow but it was blowing a hoolie for two days and nights.
We don’t celebrate St. Andrews Day. There used to be a lot of ceilidhs but no one really does them now.

                          • Good... well, how would you describe it? It's too late for evening, too early for morning. Good middle of the night? I know I should be asleep, but ..... my brain is far too active tonight.

It's hard to believe that it's December already. I'll be happier when we've passed the solstice and start heading back towards Summer. I hate it when it seems to start getting dark more or less just after lunchtime.

I had a lovely long chat on the phone with one of my sisters this afternoon, and then I rang my brother in law.

I'm now considering going and getting a glass of milk and/or some chocolate. To do this would, however, mean leaving my warm cocoon Maybe not .......

                            • Good morning all.

Happy December, pinch, punch, and white rabbits. I think that covers all the bases.

Was that you rummaging in the kitchen, GF, that woke me up early? I've put the kettle on for another brew if you want one, or are you back in the land of nod?

                              • Morning all. Morning MH. I hope you're still in the land of nod, GF. If not, morning to you too.

Off out early for blood tests this morning. Can't remember but I think I might not be allowed a cup of tea. I'll be glad to get home after and have one then. Fortunately no frost this morning, so no need to scrape the car off. I made Mr Snoop leave the car on with the heater running the other day. A dreadful waste of petrol and fumes, but the air was so cold, it just kept frosting back over when scraping.

Busy day ahead, but starting to see light at the end of the tunnel.

                                Have a great day, everyone.
