  • Morning, well at 5.30am it was a frozen winter wonderland here. By 8am it’s pouring rain and blowing a hoolie and 6°. It’s still windy and raining.

Snoop you made me and the OH laugh at Jack’s antics, sorry it can’t be easy!😁

I don’t like either Bovril or Marmite. OH likes Bovril but I think it because it brings back memories of being young at the football.

Hope you all have a wonderful day whatever your weather. x

    • Why do (some) elderly men have to complicate things? I did put "some" in brackets as I'm sure that Rary wouldn't..... Oooh, I forgot ... he isn't elderly either What is wrong with a yes or no answer, or even a succinct explanation? Why do we have a long winded ramble that never gets to the point? Also twisting facts to fit their fictional diatribe. Maybe not all men, but definitely the ones in my husband's family. I am now going to, hopefully, sort out some hospital appointments for my brother in law but I don't know if he has eventually given me all the information that I need. He is intelligent, but as for common sense Even Mr GF was told by his doctor, a couple of decades ago, to always bring me to his appointments.

Even though it is now, supposedly, 6°C the frost has still not melted in the shade. Bobble hats and boots seem to be popular.

I managed to get Mr GF to take his slow release painkiller this morning and I think it is working. .... no moaning and groaning

I had planned on making a smoked salmon risotto this evening but I'm now debating whether to get a few Bay Scallops out of the freezer to add to it too.

Snoop Puss, "thievery incarnate", what a wonderful description. I hope Jack starts to calm down soon.

Remember to check those hot water bottles with cold water before filling them with piping hot, Snoop, puppy teeth are sharp!

        • ^Yes, Bren. He's been through one so far...

We've been told he'll probably calm down at between three and four years old...

            • Good afternoon, cold and wet today, went out for some messages this morning, but first had to drop off a couple of samples at the clinic for OH, once back home OH said she didnt feel that well, then was sick, once everything was cleaned up I decided to make a pot of soup, just to use up some of the veg that hasnt been getting used, with OH not eating very much just now, this ofcourse can go into the freezer, our son dropped in to see his mum and I also got a call from the hospital to say I will get my cataract op. on Dec 12th. I was going to cancel but the lassie on the phone recommended that I keep the appointment as the operating theatres will be getting closed for upgrades in January, I can always cancel if it's not suitable to go, OH also received a call from the clinic, asking her to return in a fortnight for another blood sample, now waiting for the results from the x-ray to find out what is causing all the pain, I don't know whither its a mix of the painkillers and antibiotics thats making her sick, but just hope she gets well soon
Have a relaxing evening, keep warm and safe and keep smiling

              • That must be really worrying, rary. Perhaps the increased Tramadol? Mr Snoop was nauseous at first when they first upped his dose, though never actually sick. Took him a few days to get used to it. But might still be worth asking the doctor if it doesn't stop tomorrow. Big hug to you and a gentle hug to your wife.

                • Good morning all.

I hope that Mrs Rary is feeling a bit better today.

I've just slipped out of bed to turn the thermostat up. No frost this morning, in fact it's a balmy 13°C already.

Not a particularly good night's sleep.

I am trying to decide whether to get up and make coffee or try, yet again, to have another hour of sleep.

Decision made. I think a large mug of coffee followed by a hot shower sounds very tempting. Plenty coffee ... help yourselves.

                  • Morning all.

Supposedly going to be a cold but bright day today. Definitely cold. Bright has yet to be seen. Plenty of clouds up top at the moment.

Got errands to run in the village as well as plenty of work to get through. Going to be a busy day today again.

Thinking of all the people that need thinking of. So many of us at the moment... Hope we all have better days of it today.

The weather is doing nothing much, definitely not as cold as yesterday. Thanks for the coffee, GF, very welcome.

Grory Hop delivery this morning and violinist (that should be chiropodist) at noon for Himself. I'm going into the garden to play with some compost as Himself is still sleeping. Have a good day

                            • Good morning all, it's a mild 14 degs here, definitely a day for gardening.
I hope all who were feeling poorly are feeling better today .

Flo, I keep meaning to ask, did you manage to get your Cyclamen to come back into growth.
Mine are in full leaf but just buds on so far.

Snoop, I hope Jack will give you an easier time today.
Enjoy the day what ever you get up to.

And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

We had a lazy day yesterday so I think a walk is in order while it’s dry. Enjoy the trip in the camper Nicos!
