  • Mornin n’alln’all

Busy day ahead but mostly indoors.
Hope everyone affected by the heat is OK…keep on drinking water!!! ( and munching on choc-ices )

Plants were all watered earlier, so today will be a ‘survival of the fittest’ out there.

    Enjoy your day peeps.
Hope Frankie decides he’d rather be home again…

    • Good morning

The curtains are drawn tight against the sun. 30°C forecast here today again but maybe the odd thunderstorm this afternoon.

My brother in law got back home again last night.... eventually......After 3 weeks. No wonder there is a shortage of beds. He's been asking to go home for the same 3 weeks, during which time he says he's hardly left his bed as there was nowhere to go, not even the loo, as they'd fitted the dreaded catheter.

I wrote out an advance medical directive for myself at the start of covid, explaining the treatment I wanted and didn't want in a multitude of curcumstances if ever I was not in a fit state to communicate. I never had it witnessed and signed though. I have just reread it, altered it slightly, printed it out and intend getting it witnessed and a copy dropped of at my doctors this week. I must admit that the thought of dying of thirst fills me with horror.

Nice sunrise, Mothhawk. It's weird to think that we're heading back to Winter now.

                • Forgot to say that I hope you have a great wedding lottie- a hot day for the guys to wear suits!

MH…what a fantastic piccie- well worth the early morning trek.

Jay- when you do get good weather up there, it doesn’t half make a grande job of it!

All good here. Jobs ticked off and looking forward to a quiet evening.
We had a large lunch and I’m thinking that I won’t be up for eating this evening

                  • Mornin n’alln’all

I was woken by heavy rain bouncing off the window. Didn’t last very long , but enough for me to have to jump up and pull the window to…noticing that OH had left our cardboard box packed with all our collected seeds and packets of bought ones out on the patio table.
By the time I’d rushed out and brought them in the rain had stopped
So then Hibou started bouncing around wanting to go out…so I washed her bowls and fed/ watered her, then put a washerloads in and folded the previous two loads which were dry and waiting to be sorted.
Totally awake, I decided to make myself a brew and creep quietly back to bed. Only to find OH now awake quite fancying a brew himself. Thank goodness I always make two mugs for myself.
I’m now thinking/ hoping that I can manage to tumble gently back into the land of nod….

                        • Morning all.

You've been busy, Nicos. Me, I've got up and am still half asleep.

Mind you, Jack is making enough noise to wake anyone up. He's trying to play with Missie. She realises its play and is missing Frankie, so is relatively keen to go along with it, till he starts barking in excitement. We haven't seen Frankie since Thursday, when Jack arrived, so Jack is all she's got.

Well, it was splifficatingly hot yesterday and looks to be more of the same today. Mr Snoop is out to a lunch do and I'll stay at home to look after Jack. We're due a thunderstorm, and he suffers terribly with separation anxiety at the moment, so that combined with his first thunderstorm wouldn't be good. I'm not sorry, I'll finish off sorting out my downstairs office. And be very glad of it too next week.

Hope you had a lovely day yesterday, LD, and another today.

                          Have a great day, everyone.

                          • Good morning all.

We had a very light shower yesterday afternoon, but it didn't clear the air at all. It is really muggy and sticky. I'm now just going to set the washer off ...... again.

I bought a couple of rugs a few weeks ago to put at the sides of the bed, not really their designated purpose, muddy pawprints and footprints, but they are perfect and can be machine washed, dry in no time. A quick wash and one will be perfect again.

It's already 21° here and, even if we get rain it's not due until this afternoon. 🫠🫠

I have just been reorganising my recycling bin. I've had so many deliveries this week that I've actually got a cardboard mountain.

                            Back later.....

We have rain due this afternoon hopefully it'll turn up, the gardens looking rather tired. A beautiful photo MH it would be worth framing.

                              Enjoy your Sunday.
