Morning all.

Sorry for hanging on to the smiles for a bit. They were pretty exhausted when they finally left, so no idea what time they'll reach you.

Jack is installed and doing very well. No photos yet, I'm afraid. He won't keep still except when he's asleep, which is now. But you don't need to see Mr Snoop's pyjamas that Jack dragged out of the laundry basket to use as a bed.

The receptionist at the vet insisted he'll be 20-25 kg. At the moment he's six weeks and he weighs six kilos and absolutely no puppy fat on him. I still reckon he's going to be huge.

Because he and the rest of his litter were dumped at the cat and dog home at four weeks old and have been fostered out, the home were happy for us to take him now. He's coping quite well. Missing his sister whenever he gets sight and sniff of his favourite toy that he had at the foster home (they're keeping her), but other than that a very game dog. He hasn't chewed anything untoward (so far) and has discovered sticks (from our thick kindling pile) and has fun tugging the bark off them. I'll post some photos as soon as I can.

Still got plenty of work on, so will try and make a start on that while he's out for the count.

Good morning all...it's 21 degs here right now so it's going to be a hot day.
Not a lot to do other than keep the greenhouse plants well watered

Morning all,by ek it is boiling hot,skip now sitting on the front,let the fill up begin,i can have it for 4 weeks if needed,so it will be do a bit,rest a bit day,Snoop pleased you got your new friend,let the adventures begin, off tomake a start now,got son and DILaw helping as well,oh will be hear later,have a day all and stay safe in this heat

Missie was doing all right, they had a nose to nose, she tried to bat him a couple of times, he tried to play with her. He's very cat savvy and read the signs very well. But then Frankie came in and he was so horrified he scarpered, making Missie think that perhaps she should do the same. Haven't seen Frankie since, though Missie is currently on her day bed next to my computer.

I'm not at all keen on today's weather. It's really hot, but not sunny! I seem to have the habit lately of nodding off for about ten minutes whilst doing my jigsaws. Must be getting old, although my GGs say it's called a Power Nap

evening all,bring back some cooler weather please,it is very funny watching animals react to things,lots of fun to come snoop,Nicos it is for clearing up around my back garden,from stuff not for compost heap,brocken pots and brick ends dug up over time from the garden,you how things gather,one day it's clear and tidy next it's a shambles,OH has been digging some ground,the family collecting and barrowing to the skip,i am sick off looking ata a mess,and would like the top patio done first,so we can sit out without going down a few steps,am awaiting a quote,tomorrow is a wedding to go to,so a day off,night night all,

I got up literally at the crack of dawn today so I could climb the hill to see the Summer solstice sunrise.

Snoop, Jack looks a handsome pup. Good that he's already cat savvy as he sounds pretty hefty already.

Flo, I like the idea of power naps, they sound so much more planned than closing your eyes over a book or jigsaw and having forty winks unaware.

Blackcurrants, Nicos, mmmm. Wish I was closer to you. Each year I tell myself I'll get a couple of bushes, then somehow the spring slips away and it never gets done.

About to go and do a bit of watering to avoid the wasps. And the sun. Going to be another hot one and a warm, cloudy night be the look of it.

After that, a bit work and then some tidying downstairs to get my cave office back into service.
