Afternoon, hope you are all well!! Just back from a week in Ayrshire…a very wet and windy week! I think we had 2 days without rain. Nice today and I have laundry on the whirlie…yay!!!!

Good afternoon, a cool dry but dull day here, just in from church and having a bite to eat before getting ouf to the garden. Spent most of yesterday clearing out a cupboard, which of course had to be rearranged, with new shelves fitted, not too happy with my family son and DL popped in so I stopped thinking there would be tea or coffee on the go, but no sin said he wasnt waiting as I was busy, I'm sure his mum said dont stop your dad while he's working, and daughter just gave us a phone call to say she wouldn't be down, I will need to find out if her mother told her I was going to be busy. Anyway today I will be putting out some of my baskets and planting up some pots as I need to get everything done before Friday, so have a good day and keep a smile close

OH’s best friend is coming over for a week later on today with the intention of helping with some of the bigger jobs needing doing. I think it’s just an excuse to play with the big boyz toyz and have a few beers with his best mate! His help makes a tremendous difference and he’s good fun to have around.
I best get a wiggle on then!

Morning all.
Very bright, very warm. I've been out and had a very unproductive session in the garden. Weeding away, only to turn around to see Missie fighting with my leek plants I was in the process of planting out. Shooed her off so I could check if any of them were usable - no, as it happened - and when I turned back again, there she was wrecking the ones I'd just planted. Grr! She's impervious to correction. Just as well she's very cute. Better see if I can buy some plants in now.
It's a bank holiday in our village too, Nicos. But not across Spain, so I'm on work duties today, good and proper. Better go and rattle that keyboard.

The weather can't decide what to do. It's very grey and drizzling one minute, and then the sun peeps out and then back to the grey murk. It's only 16°C, but we're forecast to go up to 26°C later in the week. Maybe a chance to float around in a summer dress.

I hope that you find yourself an open supermarket, Nicos. My grory hop is arriving tomorrow morning. I'll have another look at my list later and see if it needs anything adding (chocolate) or removing (milk). I'm not usually really bothered about chocolate, though, if it's hot. I just need to know that it's there.
I'm going to put all the chicken remains in the slow cooker next to make chicken stock. I'll freeze it, ready for using in risotto or soup.
I'll ring the hospital in an hour or so, usually a time that it's reasonably easy to get through. I'm hoping they let my brother in law go home today. After a hiccup, Mr GF also seems to be improving again too.

It's quite chilly here now and just starting to rain, but the bedding I hung out this morning is dry and about to be put away before I listen to The Kitchen Cabinet. Himself is feeling better, but hasn't mentioned my morning tea - that might have fallen by the wayside now

Good afternoon, OH wanted to do a shopping this morning, as she is out galavanting with her old workmates tomorrow, old being the appropriate word though wouldn't dare say that in front of them
, and as I will be unable to drive for three weeks she decided to make it a big shopping, with plans to do a further shopping on Wednesday, I wouldn't mind but its money from my pension ( I retired early) OH has the philosophy of whats mine is ours, whats hers is her own anyway x once back home had a bite to eat then was for out to the garden for a wee while, unfortunately just out when it started raining, so spent some time in the greenhouse where I siwed some lettuce, rocket, chard and some leeks I already have leeks in the ground but thought I would see if I can get more going for through the winter, I also harvested some broccoli from my polly tunnel the head isnt very big tho the plants are quite tall, evidently not realy a suitable crop for the tunnel, but then it always was a trial, I now need to think of some other veg to grow in the tunnel, might see how chard does in it, right have a pleasant evening and keep smiling 🙂

Good morning.
It's a windy, rainy, miserable morning here. I'm nice and cosy under my duvet, however. I can't think of anywhere else I'd rather be.
I've got a grory hop arriving this morning. Later, I've got to go to the doctor's for blood tests.
My brother in law is still in hospital, and they have an infection on the ward, so no visiting.
I think I'll try and have another forty or so winks now. Back later.

It's very quiet around here this morning. Is everybody having a lie-in?
Evidently there's only one thing missing from my shopping order, a bottle of wine.
I'm not going for blood tests later today now as the surgery have texted to cancel, staff shortage.
