Heat dome I've not heard of. Everything weather seems to have bomb on the end these days so am surprised it's not heat bomb.

There was frost on our walk this morning

Good morning again.

It's one of "those" mornings here. I've just realised that I've got a pair of Mr GF's trousers on.... a pair I just grabbed off the airer. I thought that they felt a bit loose.

I've also just checked my emails. There's one from Amazon saying that they've shipped my order. I'd "forgotten" that I'd been indulging in a bit of retail therapy in the early hours when I couldn't sleep.

Time for another coffee I think.

We sat outside last night with the firepit until gone midnight , and it was still only jumper temperatures.
And woke up in the early hours to pouring rain. Good timing or what?

Lots of domestics for me today…absolutely no excuses…what’s everyone else got planned for this Bank Holiday weekend?

Belated Happy Birthday, Bramble

I've been out for a walk - found someone's door key on the footpath so left it tied to the gate by the road. Hope they find it whoever it belongs to. I'm going to unleash the vaccuum cleaner a bit later on, and the car desperately needs a wash, it's still covered in winter muddiness.

Then maybe I'll carry on turning out the cupboard at the top of the stairs. How can I have crammed so much old and forgotten stuff into it? I'm trying to be ruthless, but I dither over things like blankets and flannel sheets and sewing stuff/material. If I out them, will I need them in a few months (even though I haven't needed them in several years)?

But first, as ever, a cuppa.

Good morning.

Quite a bit cooler today, but the sun is trying to get out. Tomorrow is typical Bank Holiday Weekend weather with a max of 10°C forecast... but no rain. I was thinking about putting summer bedding on the bed but having seen next week's forecast night time temperatures I'm waiting a while longer.

mothhawk, I've got a cupboard with lots of old towels and bedding and I will get round to sorting it out soon, and taking some bedding, blankets and towels to a local animal charity. I have no idea what is skulking in the depths but I obviously don't need it. Actually I think that my dad's old home movies from the 1950s and early 60s might be in the back along with a projector!

I'm in shorts too Bren, but considering changing, it's a bit draughty. I've made a lemon drizzle cake for us for a change! Lord Ginger has taken up residence on my kitchen window ledge after two lots of treats and is still asking for more. My GG is going for the final fitting of her wedding dress this morning, so I'm hoping she calls later. I've bought a hat on line, hoping it suits me
Where is Snoop? Hope it is only internet connections keeping her away.

Same here gf….we are forecast 5C night temperatures for several days now. I was thinking of potting out my geraniums but they are easier to look after all together in the smaller pots.

Our friends have now left …but Hibou doesn’t trust us when we tell her they really have taken their dog with them
