Thanks for going looking for that, Bren. You have a tremendous memory to even think of that thread.

I have that container, but they're not in there. I think I must have taken them out to sow but had to make a trip back to the UK in a hurry and they didn't get sown. I'm afraid my veg patch got totally abandoned last year.

I'm lucky in one respect: there's a very well developed plug plant industry here and I'll just buy in plants.

On a positive note, Mr Snoop has decided we should have a big tidy and rearrange of the bedroom and living room. Wonders will never cease! So whether we come across them or not, that's a good outcome.

      • Morning all.

Not raining at the moment, so am about to go and sow some seeds I do have... Decent thunderstorm yesterday evening and rained all night, and supposedly all day today. Not sure what will happen on the weeding front, but plenty of tidying on the cards if I'm confined to barracks.

        Have a great day, everyone.

        • Good morning all. A very dull morning but its not raining yet.
lots to do outdoors but if it rains I can prick out my plants in the greenhouse.

I need to go to the shops this morning to buy Easter eggs for my grandkids.
A trip to the florist to order some flowers for my sisters birthday.

          Have a good day alll

          • Snoop it sounds like there's still a chance you'll find your seeds, I've found that things hide in the stupidest places

            • Good morning all.

It's a sunny morning, but without the very warm temperatures we had last week. There is even a strong chance of rain tomorrow or Wednesday.

It was a very windy night here. Nothing to do with the weather though, probably all the Chinese leaf that I put in the stir fry veg and chicken.

The last time I lost some seeds I eventually found them packed toghtly in an airtight storage box in the dim depths of my fridge. I'd read somewhere that it was a good place to store them.

I need to put our repeat prescriptions in at the doctor's later today.

              • Do you have pockets in your gardening togs Snoop? There's a blossom blizzard here, it's really pretty.

                • So, I've remembered the container these seeds are probably in. It's a plastic flower pot that is my sowing kit, with scissors, sellotape, labels and pen. But where that is I don't know. I remembered it when I started to think about needing labels. Nice scissors too. But never mind. I've started sowing what I've got plus others. Better go and look at the lettuce all year round thread. I've got rather a lot of packets of lettuce seed...

And it's still bright. So I'm in my element. As are the cats, who have decided to play round my feet. I haven't trodden on them yet.

As for gardening togs, Flo, I'm embarrassed to say that nearly all my clothes are 'country' togs. No-one's ever surprised when they come round. I've come across old boys gardening in their undies. So by their standards, I'm quite tidy when at home. I do have 'town' togs for going into the village, but enough for one or two 'outfits'.

                  • My gardening clothes have always seemed to look as if they've escaped from the ragbag. There was one lady, probably in her sixties, who I would often see on her smallholding in Spain. She was amazing. She used to sit atop her tractor, with full make up on, hair immaculately coiffed, and wearing a smart suit or dress. A parasol was carefully positioned above her. I never saw her with a hair out of place.

                    • Good grief at your Spanish neighbour gf!
I always look ready to do some gardening apparently…but I can scrub up a bit for shopping or if I’m going into town to see the GP or somewhere special.

                      • I must admit, my only gardening togs are usually whatever I'm wearing for indoors anyway. My apron just gets muckier than usual

                        • Good evening, sun is out,but quite cold several showers during the day, and must have been very heavy through the night as my 200lt. water barrel is quite full and as its the last in a sequence the middle barrel is also full and thats the one I had been drawing from over the past three days, so to you ladies who temp fate by washing windows, pur out washing lines and the likes, please stop, some of us appreciate some sunshine
Snoop with you misplaceing your seeds your seeds reminded me of where I hide things from OH, I have found the best place to do this is in the sewing box, theres very little chance of her opening it, depending on the size if the object and of course its never money, as I never have that anyway, now going to take Poppy out for a walk, we have been watching her oferctge weekend as son and family are in Germany for a wee break, have a good evening and keep smiling
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

                          • I went out to the car just over an hour ago. I was.going to drop our prescriptions off and then pick up fish and chips.

The car was dead. I did have dash lights etc but it wouldn't even attempt to start. Click, click, click!! No vroom, vroom! I quickly rang our friend who has the local MOT garage and caught him just before he went home. He asked if I urgently needed the car and I told him no, I was only going to get fish and chips. He came around straight away with a battery, jump leads and ..... fish and chips. He is my hero today. He's left the jump leads and battery in case I need them tomorrow although I did let the car run for half an hour tonight. It might just be the very few, very short journeys we've been making. If not he'll order me a new battery.

I MUST put the prescriptions in tomorrow though.

I think a (large) glass of wine is in order now.

                            • ^What a good friend, GF. I could do with someone who brought me fish and chips. Bit of a long way to come, mind.

And Rary, I don't have a sewing kit, just a sowing kit. Mr Snoop has a sewing box. In fact, when I came in from weeding, there he was, darning a pair of trousers.

I've had a good day after being so disappointed about my seeds. Got quite a lot done. Two beds weeded, plenty more to go, though.

                              Have a nice evening, everyone.

I often garden in my PJ's not intentionally I nip out to check the GH spot something in the garden next thing I know I'm weeding or planting out veg. Other than that I wear the same clothes all day if I'm gardening or shopping, usually its walking trousers/cargo pants or shorts.
