Nice size bed and tunnel, by the way.
I think I will have to approach it from the side opening as the back of the frame is sealed

Sorry Snoop just couldn't let a question like that slip by I was actually thinking that I try doing something like the layering of tomatoes, planting the plant in one side of the bed and once it reaches the top of the frame , drop it down and lay it to the middle, and just while answering this I think it might be planted in the middle and once it reaches the top I can then guide it along the central rib that I have running along the top of the frame, though it wouldnt be difficult to put in a support frame. Thanks for asking that question as it has opened up an alternative to what I had been thinking

it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

      • Good afternoon, it started raining yesterday evening and some light showers overnight though dry just now its quite cloudy, after church this morning I have been out in the greenhouse potting on some plants, I also have some wood to saw up so that should heat me up a bit, evidently OH wont be wanting me to be too hot just in case OH is thinking of shifting the TV from one side of the room to another, of course her thinking that means if she decides to do this its me who will have to do the work, I think she needs to be told to stop planning things like this, just dont know who would be brave enough to tell her coffee break over I will head back out, if I stay in here the TV would get shifted, where as if I'm outside she might forget about it have a good day and please pass on the smiles

        • Evening, just back from a wonderful week in Ayrshire. Weather was amazing although we did have some pretty thick smoke from a nearby wild fire.
Have been popping in and out, hope everyone is well.
          Enjoy your evening. x

          • Chums, I'm in need of shoulders to cry on. Was going to have a nice afternoon sowing my tomato seeds. But the packets are gone. Disappeared. Lost somewhere, never to be found again. Might even have been chucked out. Some I'd spent ages searching out online and others were quite expensive. Other seeds have gone missing too, but it's the toms I lament most.

            • No, Snoop, you've just put them somewhere really, really safe so they wouldn't get chucked out. You'll remember where and find them, I'm sure. You just have to remember back to when you bought them and when they were delivered, then work forward till you get to the place they are.

If they haven't been chucked out, that's most likely.

Thanks, Mothhawk. Positive thinking is always good.

Anyway, that's enough feeling sorry for myself.

Glad you had a good trip away, Jay. I saw photos of a wildfire in Scotland on the internet the other day. Not something I expected to see in Scotland, certainly not at this time of year.

                  • In the past when out walking the hills of Galloway few months after a disastrous forest fire in that area I came across several individual healthy green trees surrounded by acres of burnt forest, in one case there was a stand of 8 trees untouched by fire when all around was scorched, unbelievable how these things can happen, abd would not have believed it if I hadent seen if with my own eyes
As we are getting a thunder storm at present, hopefully this will help extinguish the fires
Now going to make the supper, wishing you ask a peaceful evening and passing on some smiles

                    • Mornin n’alln’all

Its rained all night after raining almost constantly yesterday…my fault folks…sorry about that- I ‘d used my washing line for the first time this year
Everything was so wet when I remembered it that I’ve left it out overnight. Let’s hope today is a bit dryer. No idea why I didn't wash it last week when we had all that dry weather ( it’s drip dry delicates so can’t be tumbled).
Positive thoughts….yep, it’ll smell lovely at least!

Glad you had a lovely time Jay. Its been awful seeing the wildfires both in Scotland and in Ireland in the news.

Today will involve a grory hop at some point…unless I put it off. Might as well go if it’s going to rain!
We need some anti slip treatment for the wooden staircases so it’s going to need to be a trip to Falaise ( where William the Conqueror was born). It’s a lovely small town. Interestingly , there’s a rather large ‘garden centre’/ farm supplies shop near the DIY shop

Apart from that, I promised a family member I’d dig out some family tree info…goodness knows where I’ve put it Maybe I’ll find your seeds with them too Snoop?

Anyone fancy a brew?…I’ll go and pop the kettle on.

Enjoy your day peeps…keep smiling, and enjoy seeing the blossom whilst it lasts.

                      • Morning all.

Always ready for a cuppa, Nicos

I need to cut the grass today while it's nice and dry, and spread a bit of lime to get the daisies under control, they are trying to take over I think! Then some weeding as well, the grass is creeping into the perennials where it is hard to winkle out. And in retaliation the mint I planted in a really dry stony patch where nothing else much will grow is spreading into the grass. That's OK though, 'cos I can simply mow it off.

Snoop I've found this post were you mention your seeds are in a plastic container. I hope this helps.
