I thought that the retirement age for women in Spain was similar to the age for men here, must be wrong🙄😁
On a more serious note, something you should always remember Snoop, You work to live, not live to work, I retired early, there were several people telling me that I was going far to early, but it's one of the best things that I have done, with no regrets, I do wish you well and hope you are successful, and if you are you will wonder where you found time to work

You're right, Rary, retirement age is the same for men and women here. But if you meet the social security contribution requirements and are above a certain age, you can take your state pension earlier, but you get less than the full amount for the rest of your life. So it is potentially quite a sacrifice over the years if you live a long life. Resolution number one is to find out the info and then decide from there.

Morning, dull and damp here this morning but no wind thankfully!
Granddaughter and her parents have gone home and the house is incredibly quiet. Amazing the life a little one can bring to a home. Miss her already.

I would have preferred to retire flexibly Snoop, reducing my hours gradually, but circumstances dictated a different outcome and it's taking some time to adjust. As long as your decision is measured, I'm sure you'll make the right one

^Thanks, Florence Fennel. This might actually be open to me, as apparently I will be allowed to earn a certain amount from work. I could maybe keep on one or two clients I really like and ditch the ones I'm less keen on.

Take some advice from a financial expert about retiring, it really is quite a personal thing, our circumstances are very different, I actually worked a few weeks after my due date to take me into the next tax year saving me money I still pay income tax as I have private as well as state pensions.

Hi Florence, I had the chance to retire 4 years ago and took it with plans to do loads ... then Covid struck and blew that out the water!. It does take some getting used to but once I'd got over the holiday feeling and accepted it I took to it like a rat up a drainpipe I've just qualified for my pension but I got my pension from my two previous jobs so that helped. it was the best thing I ever did.

the irony of it was, having kept my self safe and sound for 3 years both me and Mrs G caught Covid last January . I know what you mean, I enjoyed my Job but it was all the damn meetings and cr@p that went with it. The biggest strain I've hadto put up with was when Mrs G decided to retire as well ... invaded my space But we've got round that now ... she doesn't talk to me and I don't bother her

Good evening haven't done much today, son dropped in when out with the dog and asked us up for a coffee in the afternoon, so didn't bother starting anything,meant to post yesterday the two youngest grandsons called in yesterday and the youngest had a go at cutting his hair as well as having a shave fortunately the shaving was fine, and my niece will be over at the weekend to give him a haircut before returning bro school fortunately she is a hairdresser, so will know how to sort it out, though I never did that, two older sisters and brother stopped any chance of that, though I did go to a different barber than the one my mother always took me to and got a crew cut, my mother wasn't to pleased about it as the reason I did it was to get rid at a head r curls, she thought they were lovely I didn't and I was told getting them cut off would let my hair grow back straight, it didn't work the curls came back worse than ever, the one good evening Bing about it all was that the haircut was a happnie cheaper I wish you all a good night and sweet dreams

Good evening I am looking for some guidance, I can't get into the forum with my tablet, I am using a kindle for this post and it's rather small for my fingers, they not too big it's the letter board which is small anyway when I tried to get on his the tablet I got something wrong and received a notice to contact an administrator so how do I do that, hopfuly one of you police women sorry Mods could help

Good morning and thanks Been working from a kindle is hard labour the keyboard s s bit on the small side and usually have to check what auto correct has put in when I am writing, I don't know why they dont make keyboards for normal sized hands, just because the majority of folk have small hands is no excuse

Very dull start to the day today. Got the generator on, giving the batteries a bit of a charge. Rain possible. Lots next week if the forecast holds good, or bad from Mr Snoop's perspective, as snow is forecast.
