First signs of tomato seedlings poking through. Only sowed them a few days ago. Doubly chuffed because some are saved seeds from last years black icicle crop and had never saved tomato seeds before. Also first signs of red cabbage seedlings in the gh. First time growing brassicas.

^You're in for a treat, annie. Home-grown brassicas are nothing like those from the shops. A family once came to visit and I did cabbage, but worried it might not prove popular with the small kids. Four helpings of cabbage they each had, it was so sweet! Thanks for reminding me. The memory has made me happy just thinking of it.

Five tonnes of goat and sheep muck ordered, due to arrive in two to three weeks. A bale of hay/straw also ordered, delivery unknown. Not entirely sure what it'll be, I imagine straw but as he has goats and sheep, could be hay. Don't care, to be honest. There are so many weeds blowing seeds about in this area that it is what it is. If it's not weeds from the hay, it'll be weeds from somewhere else.
