Evening all, I've just had a day stood up to my arm pits in a river, the rain was coming down in stair rods and I only caught a tiddler(small Brown Trout), I need someone to remind me I enjoy fishing..................
Garden is enjoying the rain though, I transplanted some Leeks the other day and they are looking good.

Roofer resealed where the roof was leaking -so tentively awaiting the next heavy/windy rainfall.

A drizzly, windy start to the day here.
No plans on going anywhere for me either...I would like to get more weeding done though. Either that or baking....we'll see.

We opened the first jar of this year's pickled quail eggs the other day and they were delish-very, very yummy -so I think I'll make a few more soon too.

Morning, boy do I ache after yesterdays exertions, a lazy day (I hope) today it's dry at the moment, so a bit of pottering around in the garden is called for.

Amazingly, for the first time in what feels like forever, we have woke up to a dry morning. A bit murky and windy but the forecast says we might actually see the sun by teatime. I can't wait to get to the allotment. I will definitely not be going to a pub or restaurant either in the near future. I won't be happy to see visitors indoors either yet. Well I think I'll go and put the washing out and go to the plot.

Had a late night last night so a slow start to the day. The usual awaits. The only big decision is do I fill the remaining space in the freezer with a big bag of ice or another loaf of bread. To be honest, it's so hot out there I reckon the ice will win.

Thats a treat I tend to leave for my Xmas Pud !... plus a big dollop of ice cream!

Cream has to be poured over the ice cream so it goes solid....mmmm....pity I don't have any ice cream Typical -I neeeed some now!
