Its the same in Wales - everyone heading for the open spaces/second homes without a thought for the pressures they put on others.
Even where I live, near a public woodland, there's been a steady stream of cars and walkers visiting the woods today - in groups.

My neighbour rang me this morning to check.........
His plan is to put a crate of beer/whisky in every room of his house and "go out" for a drink somewhere different each evening.

Unfortunately to many people don’t seem to be taking this very seriously! Treating it like a holiday.

We have a massive beach just doen the road - was quite busy but mostly people kept 2 metres apart.
Unfortunately there is only one slipway over the ridge at one end of the beach and some idiots were stood and sat at the top in complete disregard for everyone gong past. I've got a dodgy ankle at the moment and scrabbling over the ridge to avoid them nearly did me in. I did conteplate sneezing in their general direction...

Too many people being total @rses! We had the same yesterday and today. We'd booked a weekend at the coast ages ago, decided we may as well go because we wouldn't be 'socialising'. Out for a walk on a nature reserve, so many people letting their kids 'run about', others wandering along the path in groups not even trying to keep a distance. We resorted to walking single file (the two of us) but difficult to keep far enough away from some idiots! Today we went to the beach, and even with a low tide some people were just not bothered to consider others. Gave some bloke and his partner a mouthful when as we waited for a couple to pass by on a footbridge they went passed us and them without a thought! He turned and looked back and then realised he was in the wrong and then kept going. FFS it's not a game.

And yes I contemplated getting my hanky out and coughing repeatedly!

Same.in Cumbria. Lake district has been packed.out. hotels doing special offers didnt help grrrr. And southerners coming up to their holiday homes.
Motorbikes all.out, first trips of the yr always result in hospital admissions and ambulances as they're all rusty bike handlers then. Ugh.
Here is rural ,.so far weve been ok for walks with dogs. I might attack traitors non local though

I felt really mean today. My husband is (thank goodness) taking this really seriously. Two of his elderly friends phoned separately suggesting that they called round to see us and I tried to explain to them that it really wasn't a good idea. They are both single and obviously feeling lonely so I feel awful.

They are both single and obviously feeling lonely so I feel awful.

Some people just don�t get it. My dil suggested to my son that they pop over and see me yesterday. He couldn�t get her to understand why that wasn�t a good idea as I�m self isolating for 12 weeks as per advice from my cancer care team. She runs a pub so could be carrying or be infected. She went out in a huff. I hope she didn�t go to see her mother who is in the same situation as me.

As to the one hour slot at our local supermarkets. It means being in contact with people who may have been in contact with those who are infected, so defeats the objective. I might have to break my quarantine if no delivery slots become available in the next few weeks.

Local supermarket has stopped the old folk hour, manager described them as worse than a crowd of footbal hooligans!

Having seen some of the local oldies in action when the Yellow Sticker items are brought out from the back of the store, I'm not surprised.

There are the ones who play dodgem with their trollies, try to trip you with their sticks or zoom up on you fast and silently in their rideon buggies.
Sometimes they have to be forcibly separated as they squabble over who had their hands on a container of strangely named concoction. Then they'll sidle up to someone and ask what it is!!. If they don[t fancy it (and they usually don't) they slip it back on the shelf, thinking nobody will notice.
Its a dangerous pastime - hunting down the Yellow Stickers.

Thankfully we are able to avoid supermarkets most of the time, for several years we have used farmers and markets for our produce, plus the bits I grow. I have been able to provide some fish with the rod and if things get desperate then rabbit and Pidgeon are likely to appear in a stew near here.

Some of the VERY elderly really don't get it. One moaning (via text) that she's worried her hairdresser's appointment might be cancelled. She wasn't amused when I told her to cancel it anyway if they haven't yet. By the time this is over my extended family will probably hate me.........but hopefully still be alive and moaning!

Just back form Morrisons in Ross having picked up a bit of shopping. Things were a lot quieter down there than they were last week.
