  • Mackerel with assorted roast veg.

    • Roast pork from the freezer, leftover from our Christmas dinner. Traybake veg. Might go all out and make some mince pies too.

      • Beef stew with as many vegetables as I could find in the cupboards and fridge. Sourdough dumplings if I get around to making them...

            Last night was goan chicken, flatbread and salad with yoghurt dressing.

            Tonight is salmon with grains/lentils and salad

              • Yesterday I had a massive baking sesh and made cheese and onion pie and roasted cauli in prep for tonight .
                Followed by left over crumble and custard….and then a cheeky flapjack maybe

                • Out of interest…How well do flapjacks freeze?…do they lose their chewiness?
                  I nearly fell over when I realised how many calories they are …not that that would stop me eating them…but freezing a few might just slow me down a tad

                        • There's sausages in the fridge so OH can have them with chips and salad /or chips veg and gravy .
                          I will have tuna steak with salad or veg and couscous.
                          .. no I think i've changed my mind to a butterbean dish with the tuna.

                          • Chard and lentil gratin. (Down at the bottom of this page: https://www.theguardian.com/lifeands...-seasonal-food) Fortunately for Mr Snoop, it's a small bunch of chard, so there won't be enough for leftovers for tomorrow. I didn't make mince pies the other day, but will today to make it up to him (he's not a chard fan...).

                              This evening panini pizza with more salad and homemade humus.
