    138 tonight. Cold and dry.

I'm an obessesive counter, VC, Slimey glove in one hand, Pot of Death in the other, no hand for clicker.

The worst thing ever was putting the pot down then having it fall over. Never gone slug hunting in flip flops since...

Found two and launched em for the birdies
When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it.
If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.

Two? KCN you are just not trying!

Just 98 tonight. It has been hot and dry but a little bit of drizzle brought a few out. Nice to hear the crickets singing, too.

I found one today!! It was inside a daffodil that I'd brought into the house as the stem was snapped
My floral arrangement of daffodil with slug was never going to win a prize at the flower show

Six got washed down the plughole last night after being brought in on parsley. I snipped three in half that I found munching my onion leaves. B******s!

We have rain for the next few days so I'm expecting to hit the 600 mark again. And lose my French beans...

I'm finding more snails than slugs here in Cressage. It was the other way round in Rossendale, Lancs, more slugs there.
I'll be out with my bucket of hot salty water tonight. Ive found a snail nursery. If I had my camera I would take a pic because its grotesque.
I found one on my RHUBARB this morning so I chucked it onto the driveway for the birds.
Im not having critters eating my grub!
I will be counting because I also like to keep a tally.

Bummox. 398 last night and the collecting was cut short by Masterchef! Warm and wet. Ok I say warm. 8 degrees. Warm compared to the last few months but cold compared to the last few years.

Um... the only ones I have found this week are in the beer we put out for them.

I am feeling silly now at declaring war after finding 6 in a single tray of lettuce...

I didn't manage to go out on slug safari tonight, I had far too much ordinary stuff to do, mundane boring stuff but it has to be done, like eating dinner lol. I had some RHUBARB for afters.
I cant wait to show my daughter and son in law the snail nursery when they get home tomorrow night. Its been a long week.
I need to be getting those snails before they smell that I've put the lettuce and radish in the open ground.

145 last night and 108 tonight. I love being outside at night and usually go slugging at the time I'd go to bed in the winter. Used to go night walking when I lived on the Cotswolds. You see very different wildlife.
