As slug hunting finished in mid June it is about time for a grand total.

Give or take...

Most in a day was 398 so we are making progress from the 600 plus of two years ago.

Omg! I think you're a star to keep going like that.. do you use any other method of slug control, or just hand picking?

I'm making the land as glow worm, toad and hedgehog friendly as possible. We see plenty of all.
I tried beer traps but couldn't find a way of keeping the ground beetles from falling or climbing in.
I have grass paths which are cut about once a week, especially if it is due to rain, to distract the slugs.
We put in a pond this year and will put in another next.
I keep my compost bins as from the veg garden as possible even though it means lots of walking up and down the slope!
