  • Right, we're just off out for a panic buy. Anyone want anything? I hope they've left us some milk.....

Our Aldi had loads of sner shovels and coarse salt for sale for weeks on end - bet they've sold them today. And the shop in Bristle city centre that had it's sledges reduced - I bet they put the price back up.

        • Yeh, apparently the Tour de France is kicking of from Leeds next year, 2 days round Yorkshire before heading sarf. I think it's gonna be passing Sarz's house...........not my cuppa tea I'm afraid.

            • I love Le Tour......

Asda was empty - devoid of fresh goods and stroppy people. We only needed milk and bread (no one buys Burgen bread, so no shortage of that) Got blueberries and strawberries for 20p a punnet, bunloaf for 10p and, in Waitrose, cheeses for 40p per pound.

              • Our snow hasn't melted at all. It just froze solid. Last night was sooooo cold, it was -6 when I went to the stables at 9am. They told me it had been -8 or colder there last night. Horse is double-lagged tonight!

The ones at the very back can't be mentioned on this thread, shallots from bulbs , the other tray to the right are red baron seedlings sown about three weeks earlier.

                            • I used to love snow in my younger days I lived in the high peak whilst courting SWMBO.

Now I hate it for a simple reason..... £350 a day when we don't go out, to pay staff and other expenses.
