Bight sunshine, windy and cold all day today.

Windy here in West Cornwall too last night but varied a lot over the area: didn't go over 30kts here but I gather there was damage a few miles away.

It’s suddenly become really really windy so I checked up on our weather forecast and we have an orange warning for 75mph
Looks like it might touch the south coast of England…take care out there if it affects you!

Last night was quite mild here (9c minimum, I believe).
The night before went down to 5c, though. My peppers and sweet potatoes seem fine, however.

Coldest night so far, 3.6c outside 5.9 in the greenhouse, my poor cucumbers, chillies, peppers and single aubergine will be shivering!

5°C drop in temperature between 03:00 and 07:00 this morning. Brrr

OH and I were moaning about the temperature hitting 30C but I see on his FB page that 8 years ago today it was 39C.

That was unbearable …don’t know how you cope Snoop!

19°C at half past midnight. 21°C 2cm down in greenhouse beds.

Warm but the last few days have been wet, sunny , wet, sunny, wet, sunny……

After a brief interlude this morning the sun hardly broke through all day, plus there's been a cold northerly breeze - quite brisk at times - making it feel much colder than 17°

It got down to 7c last night...I expect better in mid summer!
