You only follow instructions when the OH is not looking and you have to do things yourself - when they're about, you don't read the instructions, therefore they get all huffy and do whatever it is you're doing themselves!

How about doing a tear off strip like the perfume/aftershave samples they put in the glossies - ie an extra wide bit on a page that folds inside the magasine, but can be torn off without damaging the rest of the mag... (I know what I mean!! )

It works. I get amazingly useless when I need something doing, or I start wandering round the house with a tool of some description in my hand muttering vaguely about making 'adjustments'.

me too ! i don't think the front covers need anything else but a lovely pic and the topics that are enclosed within. certain don't think it needs anything to beef the mag itself up.

i get quite frustrated searching through the mag a few times and still not finding what i was looking for.

having a bit of a b*****r trying to edit my last post, but the extra bit i wanted to say was that the "this month, next month, last month, WHICH month" bit can be really confusing.

i find the trick now is to read the lastest edition as it drops on the mat, apply for everything you want and put aside, then pick up the last edition as the worksheet.

when you've got three mags to work through (two were presents) it doesn't leave a lot of time reading Joy Larcom's Grow Your Own! thank goodness for rubbish tv and cold nights.

I agree a page number beside the articles would be great. I spend time searching from front to back and back to front. Thought it was just me and never would have mentioned it !

Now that the mag has become well and truly established, a suggestion (albeit stolen from a competitor ) - an index, maybe every quarter, with veg and topics listed, then the various issue number and page numbers with corresponding articles,

i really like that when i saw it at year end issue. it would be better in smaller 3 or 4 monthly chunks though.

i keep everything but can find nothing without trawling through loads of back issues just hoping to get a clue from the front cover.

funny time to ask perhaps, but how long has he magazine been going. when i first bought it 8 months ago, i got the impression it was a well established stalwart then!!
