      6 cells of golden pearls
      3 pots of ornamental grasses
      10 cells of black strawberries
      10 cells of yellow strawberries
      10 cells of blue strawberries
10 cells of giant red strawberries
72 cells of wild white strawberries

Yes that does say seventy two wild white's - I need a total of 80 viable strawberry plants, with at least 60% of them shade tolerant

That's pretty much all my early sowing done, so unless I have a change of heart about anything, no more sowing for about 6 to 8 weeks now
Read your blog today, will enjoy seeing how you get on. Will definitely give sweetcorn a try. I have containers like yours but deeper, so should work

      • Finally couldn't resist any longer although being cautious as I don't have any glass and need to maintain OH patience with pots and trays everywhere. Planted chillies, celeriac, alpine strawberries and an assortment of herbs for the kitchen window sill and eventually the plot.

                    • Sowed some pomodoro toms , chilli 2 types, and some dahlia seeds all in heated propagator with a view to growing on in a light box I have just built. As I see it if they all go belly up at least I will have a chance to replace them...... I hope
But seeing as I am new to this gardening thing the theory and practice may well leave a lot to be desired but fingers crossed

                          • I did mine a few days ago...

                            Aubergines
                            Strawberry - Alexandra & Baron
                            Tomatoes - moneymaker
                            Basil
                            Oregano

I also have another batch of basil, rosemary and oregano for the kitchen, they'll live indoors.

I also have sunflower and sweet peas

Atm they are sitting in my sunny conservatory but have to bring them in to the kitchen during the night as it's too cold.

First time growing from seeder here so I'm rather excited

                              • Sowed some Spinach Tirza F1 (my favourite, produces huge leaves) in an 18" square pot in the garage. Also 50 early onward peas in the propagator. Beginning to wonder if I am getting over-enthusiastic with the early sowings.
