I lost my entire crop last year due to white fly infestation, worst I have ever had, sort of made me hesitate about growing this year, but I bet I grow a few, just might have to get a forest of sticky traps in the greenhouse.
I have seed for Hungarian Hot Wax and Anaheim, two peppers we really like.

I am overwintering my spangles plant. Its still got some chillies on and plenty of leaves, its on a south facing windowsill. I had to take it outside and wash the whitefly off with water last week when it was mild. No doubt the pesky little buggers will be back soon

Put a grow light on a dawn-to-dusk timer smart plug over the chillies in the heated propagator today. They've started putting out fresh leaves, but are a bit anaemic at the moment. I also brought the two overwintering pepper plants into the dining room from the workshop. The workshop has a good stable temperature to protect tools and materials, but no natural light at all.

I'm growing a variety called Chinese Wraith this year - a small growing plant which will suit my kitchen windowsill. I was a bit late to get going & didn't chit until 08/03 - they're just now showing their first 'true' leaves.

How are everyone else's chillies doing?

I was only wondering that very question today Andraste.
Exciting times for everyone trying to overwinter them now that the weather is warming up a tad ( well, for now anyway!)

My seedlings are doing very well. I've been away for 18 days (someone was looking after them), and they are now well overdue repotting, the biggest being about 4 inches tall.

Mine are quite slow this year. Now in pots but seem to be in no rush

My overwintered ones have had major greenfly infestations. I think I'm getting on top of it, but it's a battle. The seedlings that I potted on today that were in the same propagator all got washed to remove live ones before being put in new pots.

The overwintered pepper that has been in the dining room is going to be discarded because it just hasn't shown any enthusiasm on the production of leaves, even though the stems and leaf nodes look healthy.

Do you mean it's completely leafless or it just hasn't produced any new leaves yet? If it's just the latter, I find that's fairly normal still at this time of year from overwintered plants.

My spangles chilli is doing well, I say its doing well, it looks the same as it did last autumn really. It gets put outside most days if its warm enough and this seems to have got rid of the whitefly.
I haven't sown any other chillies this year, just stuck to sweet peppers.

It's tried to produce a few tiny leaves but they didn't grow. It still seems to have tiny leaf buds forming at the nodes. I suppose I could try taking it from the dining room french doors to the warmer and better illuminated greenhouse every day and then back again at night.
