Planted out 50 red onion sets karmen, with BFB,watered in with a bit of seaweed fertiliser, covered with net curtain because birds always pull a couple out,I put some mealworms out for the birds not near the onions. BFB round all the fruit trees & a few shrubs. Pruned the buddleia, did a bit of weeding & cleared the fence of neighbours ivy creeping through. I’ve noticed the start of new growth on the clematis at the bottom of the garden, need to keep an eye on it & train it onto the trellis nicely (I’ll forget about it now forever ).

It's nice to see the growth again on the clematis. I've not tied mine in yet as OH needs to replace part of it.
You've reminded me I need some bfb and need to do some feeding .

Finally finished the last of the apple pruning, saved the twigs for kindling. Chainsaw'd the buddleia and shredded it.
Gave the lawns their first mow of the year, it needed doing weeks ago really, it seems like they've been growing slowly but surely all winter. I normally don't mow them till the end of March to early April, times are a changing for sure...

Cut back hard some cherry saplings that were rapidly turning into trees.

Dug out a massive mat of geraniums 6ft x 2ft which have spread throughout the entire garden. I feel bad getting rid of them because the bees love them. I'll have to find some other varieties which aren't so thuggish.

There’s lots of other flowers for the bees at this time of year, don’t worry, they’ll know where to go,I wonder how many gardens they visit in their zones. A few years ago I planted a hardy geranium I grew from seed,I think it was geranium sanguineum,it’s been about 50cm wide size for ages on the north facing shady side of the garden, purple flowers. I haven’t watered it for about five years, really good low maintenance plant

Planted 4 Jerusalem Artichokes in a dumpy bag that I raised from last year's tubers.
                        Sowed French Breakfast radish.
                        Sowed Parsnips.
Erected a frame for sweet peas and planted plants out.
Sowed carrots - Ruby Prince and Topweight.
Sowed 250 seeds each of Pea Hurst Green Shaft and Petits Pois Provencal.

Also renewed the hotspot tape on the polytunnel, and patched up a few small holes in the skin.

Finished weeding the perennial fruit beds, and fed them.
Planted the first and second early potatoes, and the onion sets.

Mostly cutting back of the ivy again - and hidden brambles. Also lavender .
Weeded a couple of beds, chopped back the wisteria .
Sat in the sun for half an hour
                                A very satisfying day.
