If they're sweet peppers, just cut them up into the sort of size you'd usually use, then freeze them in one-meal portions. You can then cook them straight from frozen through the winter.

                • Tenderstem broccoli, a single green pepper which snapped off in the wind, four pears from the communal orchard, and my first bunch of grapes - Muscat Bleu - they were delicious.

                  • A couple of small turban squashes.
They are from a vine that came up variegated and died back leaving the ripe fruits behind. It was saved seed.

Yeah they are mostly long Marconi red. 54 of them. I had started roasting them off in my pizza oven with the intention of preserving them in oil but quickly lost the will to live as it was slow going. I'll freeze them in bags!

It's only about 1/3rd of the fruit on the plants as well. Never ever been able to grow peppers very well previously so went overboard with plants and they all did great for once so I've hundreds of them.

                      And some antep aci dolmas...

You could pickle some in jars.

Funny you should say that as this morning I picked a sink full of jalepenos (normal and numex) and am on a pickling rampage as we speak. Don't have enough of these massive jars tho!

                          • Nicos, maybe next year's Vine show needs to do a later pepper competition. There are some absolute beauties here. Congrats on the harvests, guys.

Yesterdays little harvest. Not a lot at the moment. Grapes, a few tomatoes, a couple of small courgettes, an even smaller cucumber, a large pepper, a few runner beans and 15 Padron peppers (4 were hot!).
