Some leeks that had been badly damaged by the wind. We'll have them buttered tomorrow along with the neep I lifted today.

                      Some oca.
I fear I may have grown too much this year. I've barely made a dent yet, and from experience I know that I need to eat it up by about the end of March (it starts growing at that point, even if you put the tubers in the fridge).

^^^ I was thinking maybe you could make gnocchi with them and then freeze them?

I looked for a recipe for you and found this...and there are some other lovely ideas there!

If I have to, I can always just use them in soup or something, but I'm reluctant to process them too much as it seems a waste. It would be like taking lovely new potatoes and just turning them into mash.

Yesterday, 125g of chillies, Yellow 7 pot, lemon drop and two small Carolina Reapers . I was finally cleaning out No1 greenhouse and removed the chillies that have been very slowly ripening over the winter.

Two plants looked as if they've survived, but given this today's weather and the forcast yesterday might have been as long as the plants got....

I think I'll need a pick axe to lift some veg today, ground is solid with frost, hopefully some leeks, carrots and parsnips, cabbage are not quite big enough yet, nearly there.(Yes they do seem to be still growing the heads lol)
