As it's been cold & wet here again, with rain threatened on/off for the weekend, I don't think there's much chance we'll be doing anything at the plot. I wanted to move some chives where they're being swamped by Autumn Raspberries, do some general weeding/tidying, maybe start digging the hole for a small wildlife pond but think the ground's likely to be too soggy anyway.

Never mind - if I'm confined to barracks then I've some potting on that I've been putting off (toms, cucs, possibly climbing nasties) & as I've received the replacement Parsnip seed I ordered I'd like to get those sown in loo roll inners.

I'm going to have a bit of a rant, because I am annoyed. In January, in response to a special offer email, I ordered 2 bare root fruit trees (apple and pear) from T&M, to be delivered by the end of March. With no sign of anything happening by Monday I phoned to ask when the trees would arrive, saying I did NOT want them delivered over Easter. I was assured that they would not be sent out over Easter. In fact they were dispatched on Thursday at about 4.30pm, and Evri are still "expecting it" this morning. If that is not sending them out over Easter, I don't know what is! (Sorry for rant).

I don’t know if it helps but Trustpilot has a lot of reviews from unhappy T & M customers also awaiting delivery,they use various delivery companies,I’d email T & M if they’ve been this long in transit they won’t be in a healthy state? Maybe they’ll re deliver properly? There are other star reviews but I wanted to see the one star reviews that reveal the problems🧐🤔

The trees arrived yesterday afternoon and have clearly been kept cold as the buds are tightly shut and the labels say COLD on them. Hopefully they will be ok. I was supposed to get a Braeburn apple and a Conference pear, but they have sent 2 apples. As this was a special offer of 2 trees for £10 I don't really feel I can complain too much and I don't have the energy! I have potted up the trees today after soaking the roots over night and hopefully they will survive.
