i planted my mussleburgh leeks into my raised beds in mid may and they have been growing very well but i have had to pull two due to them going to seed. they have been fine to eat. why would they be going to seed so early as there not supposed to be ready until the autumn. did i plant them too early maybe.

That's strange. Leeks are biennial and shouldn't flower until next year. You did sow them this year?

Been hoping for free p&p, missed out a few weeks ago - we were in Cyprus, where we saw some 'Fernleaf' lavender. Looks really nice. So I thought I'd look for some plugs/plants when we got back.
